So, today, while I was taking a short break from work, I decided to research on a particular reaction I had a few days ago. Someone said something that I considered to be insanely stupid, and immediately, my reaction was something like this:
And it was concluded, almost instantaneously, in my brain, that that particular person is retarded, or just intellectually inferior. It's a sort of arrogance that I keep very much to myself, since it is quite common as for me, as an INFJ, to avoid saying mean things if I can't do anything to help it. It's not the thinking that "Don't say anything if you have nothing nice to say", because that results in a bunch of ENFJs and INFPs who are basically fake as shit, and it's goddamn obvious when they are trying to wiggle their way onto your good side. My thinking is more along the lines of "Don't criticise anything, if there is no way it can be fixed." In other words, "This person is so dumb that I don't think I can fix that stupidity."
Apparently, though, arrogance is not a common trait of the INFJ, but is a defining characteristic of INTJs, our Ni-dom buddies. So I decided to do research on how INFJs can display INTJs qualities, how the two types relate to each other, etc etc. I mean, I guess my INFJ kicks in after I have the "OMG, this guy is dumb as hell" thought, because I immediately feel bad for thinking that. However, I don't deny it, even then. I still think that the person is mentally backwards, judging silently, while my Fe is desperately trying to find excuses for that person for that massive slip-up.
So I suppose that that's the little defining trait between me, as quite a cold INFJ, and the INTJ. The INTJ gives no shits about offending others, unless it causes trouble for them personally, and doesn't feel the least bad about being honest - I mean if you're really stupid, then they'll say it. INFJs though...even when I'm starting to despise the unreliability and irrational nature of Fe (still better than Fi, which is both irrational and amazingly selfish), it still makes me feel a little guilty for calling someone stupid.
So the difference identified here is that INTJs are righteous and harsh, while INFJs are calculating and soft. Problem. Softness is something that I have found to be extremely unrewarding.
"Oh, I won't ever want to be selfish, because that is against who I am." BULLSHIT. The biggest lump of bullshit that an INFJ can say. Since when did we start preaching INFP's stubborn believes in authenticity? The truth is that INFJs would prefer not to be selfish, but we are more realistic than any of the NF (Idealists), and we recognise that sometimes, for the greater good that we foresee, there must be sacrifices made. That is why we are Ni-dominant. Ni gives foresight so that our kindness and sacrifice is actually useful towards a greater cause. On the other hand, INFPs are the type to just sacrifice themselves because "I will never be selfish" and then neglect the far-reaching consequences of that action. Same for the rest of the NFs, though ENFJs technically should fair better, unless the Ni is grossly underdeveloped, or Fe is so overwhelming that they just go super protagonistic thinking with everything.
Yes. I am someone who has not seen many good things in my own life. It's not that things have never went well for me. It's that things that have went bad are things so crucial that they should never go badly. The ability to just stand there and take the world's beating is still intact, but the will isn't there. INFJs are quite logical, being the most left-brain inclined of the Idealists, with the ability to overdevelop their Ti. I am one such person. I've learnt that even if I can endure it, even if I can always get the short end of the stick and not break down completely, it's not worth it. If it isn't going to contribute towards the larger good, it's not worth the effort. Softness, thus, is a quality that INFJs probably come equipped with, but can easily lose if life is harsh or cruel, such that they lose faith in being overly empathetic and kind.
What you get then is something like me. I have become quite harsh, especially towards emotions. I was already brought up by parents who are both against expressing emotions. My mother is an ISTP, so it comes with her personality to lead with Ti. My dad, as I have concluded recently, is an INFP who was brought up in an environment that resulted in him hating his dominant function, Fi. Then, in a last-ditch effort to retain my faith in having emotional commitments, I made a massive mistake that ended up with me devoted an inproportionate amount of myself. I can say, with absolute certainty, and not even feeling bad (which is a goddamn surprise), that I regret and hate what has happened and there is nothing positive about it at all. I trusted in the most despicable kind of person.
-----
What is despicable to me? Not someone who is selfish and aware of it. I respect people's choices when it comes to being selfish or not, because either can contribute to humanity's development. What I hate the most, the kind of person I hate the most, is someone who is so obviously selfish, but so despicably fake. Someone who is so convinced that he is so selfless, but everything he has ever done screams selfish. So many times did I have to use the excuse, "Oh, maybe he just isn't aware of what he is doing." Well, if all the excuses were valid, then he must be exceedingly stupid then! I mean, how can you claim to be selfless and be completely oblivious to how and why you are so detested by some people? These people, in fact, are such nice people that they often put up with all kinds of personality that I can't even put up with. Yet, of all the people in the world, they find you the most intolerable and disgusting? Yeah, and you say you are selfless. I'm sorry, selflessness comes hand-in-hand with awareness of surroundings and of self. You sully the reputation of ENFJs and I really want to know another ENFJ to prove to myself that they aren't all a bunch fucked up people who think themselves heroes but are the most despicable humans alive.
Hell, when an INTJ can see the hurt more obviously than an ENFJ, you know there's something very fucked up about that ENFJ. OH, you can sense the emotions of people around you? Here, take a look at your tertiary function - Se. That thing is situationally aware too, but that one isn't aware of the specifics of what is happening. You say you know the dynamics of people in our class, but that is because you have immersed yourself in their company for a long time. That is Se, not Fe. Fe works such that the moment you enter into a certain unknown company, you get a good estimate of what's going on. My goodness. This is hilarious. An ENFJ with a poorly developed Fe, completely non-existent Ni, mistaking a information gatherer such as a the shallow Se for deep Fe, and then being very Ti. That makes dominant Se, inferior Ti, ESTP...OMG, I HATE THAT TYPE.
How is it that I just figured it out now? Probably because I'm desperate to think about MBTI after almost 9 hours of Math.
-----
If I use that logic in the chunk above, my rejection of Fe, along with the remaining Ni, Ti and Se, makes me rather similar to INTJs. The difference is Te and Ti, which are the righteous and calculating factors.
This is a great summary of how the INFJ-INTJ dynamic works. In fact, even before this particular male INTJ I know now, almost all my girl friends were INTJs. My best friend in Sec 1 and Sec 2, as well as the one for Sec 3 and Sec 4, they were both INTJs. My entire "gang", in fact, in Sec 4, was...63.6% INTJs. That's amazing. It just means that I know how to get along with INTJs and I am comfortable around INTJs. They are cold people and extroverts may not like their type much, but I think INTJs are pretty easy to understand, after you figure our what triggers them and appeals to them.
I do love INTJs a lot. I may say that they feel cold and unfriendly and stuff like that, but I really admire and appreciate their existence. I mean, I do think all the NT (rationals) are a gift to humanity because, hell, humanity would be really stupid and backwards without them. Whenever I get too emotional, telling an INTJ doesn't comfort me, but comfort is not what INFJs seek. We keep things to ourselves, so if we seek others, we don't want you to tell us it's "okay", because if it is, we already know it is. We want solid advice. We want you to smack us in the face with reality and make us realise how stupid we are being. Both INTJ and ENTP are amazing at that, especially towards INFJ. INTJ, because they are naturally rational. ENTP, because they are quite blunt and straightforward.
But I found out that INTJs do like it when INFJs express emotions too. Well, not exactly "express". They still don't like it, or understand it, when you go crying at them or being too emotional. That's why INFJs make great friends with INTJs because they often reign back their emotions and try to rationalise it. The other NFs, either don't realise it or avoid it. INFJs will not back down until they figure out the logical reasoning behind why they are feeling a certain way. And that, I have been told by my INTJ friend, is what he appreciate a lot in me. He appreciates my effort to reduce the emotions in my conversations with him and enjoys it when I try to involve him in rationalising situations. And really, INFJs, being quite curious and wanting to know the specifics of things, are very entertained too. I feel like conversations with INTJs are mentally taxing and quite enjoyable, not to mention they are rather quick-witted, though traditionally not as much as ENTPs.
In fact, while ENFPs are best matches for male INFJs and ENTPs are best matches for female INFJs, INTJs are listed as an interesting possibility for both. It is a sort of dynamic, whether the INFJ is Ti-inclined enough to appeal to the INTJ's rationality, whether the INTJ's ability to try and understand emotions is enough for the INFJ. The fact that we both share Ni-dom and Se-inf means that in working together, this is an absolutely awesome combination. In times of conflict, they will resort to the same stress relievers. In times of cooperation, they both look in the same direction. It's probably how most people can jumble up their middle functions in their developing years (below 25 years old) that INFJs can be mistaken for INTJs. But funnily enough, INTJs are never mistaken for INFJs.
Since INTJs are the stars for this post, here are some things that define them:

Profile of the INFJ #5: Because I'm Almost Out of General MBTI Stuff
No ranting will be available from now on, but my personal analysis of the points brought up will still be there. In the spirit of INFJ symbolism and our tendency to speak as such, I think it's fair to compare my current situation with the one which we so commonly saw in the Math paper in Primary School. Remember the one with the snail who crawls up a wall? The snail that climbs 3cm up and slides 2 cm back? I'm doing the sliding back right now, but it's intentional, unlike the snail who doesn't know any better and frankly...probably can't control it. Or maybe like a stalking cat, the cautiousness of approaching the prey, but taking precautionary steps back once the prey is considered too threatening.
Enough irrelevant nonsense though.
1. INFJs and Small Talk
I have covered this topic before, but I think that this quotes summarises things very clearly. Of course, as the NF type most aware of social norms and their contribution to human interaction, we cannot expect people to respond too kindly if we jump into a conversation spouting things that would be considered gibberish. We always have to go through the mundane process of "what's up" and similar questions that very much turn me right off because, really, if you're having a bad day, I can tell and I would like to go right into helping you and comforting you rather than trying to beat around the bush to manipulate your into giving up your secrets.
I think that's why INFJs are so very appreciative and fascinated by people who are not afraid to say things out of the norm. Others may think that it's rude to insult a teacher and usually do not think to question the legitimacy of teachers. For example, there was one video that a teacher showed us depicting the situation of a suicidal person. Of course, more than one person stated that it was "inappropriate" but even then, that is small talk. Because, no shit Sherlock. But there was one person who could tell me straight in the face why exactly he thought it was inappropriate and in that one explanation, he revealed to me much more than anyone else did with longer conversations. This person is also the proof that no matter how much you seem to stray on the superficial level from your MBTI, your inner personality is still very much your MBTI. Also, he understood that it was not "inappropriate", but the ridiculous nature of the video that was offensive. Impressive. Finally I don't think I was the only joker who thought like that.
I love it when people tell me things unconventional. I don't care for convention - I know them well enough through observations in life. I like people who show me a very different point-of-view and while I may not agree, it is certainly more rewarding than talking to people who speak common sense all the way. Still, these people are rare and frankly, it is partly my fault that the people I always talk to are all quite conventional, whether they admit it or not. If they can't admit it, it's even worse, because one of my most despised qualities is the inability to be self-aware.
2. INFJ on Forgiving and Forgetting
And that's why it bothers me so much to hold on to grudges. Even if someone else has done something wrong to me, it is not entirely their fault. It could be my incompetence that has caused them to be encouraged to hurt me. It could be my moment of sensitivity that caused me to react badly. No matter what the situation, there is always fault partly attributed to me and if I expect an apology from the other party, I should be apologising too. Also, I never want to withhold forgiveness. So no matter what happens, really, if a sincere apology is offered, forgiveness will be automatic. I have seen what holding onto the past can cause in one's life and the life of those one hold dear. To forget is really not my policy. I won't hold onto the grudge, of course, but like everyone who is capable of thought should be aware - you need to learn from your lessons. If I was too frank this time and hurt someone, then next time I'll try to be less frank. That, in a way, is not forgetting.
3. INFJ and Being Sensitive
I think this really depends on how you view the whole issue on "sensitivity". INFJs are sensitive to the feelings of others, in the sense that we can feel what other's are feeling. We can also foresee future events, although I'm an INFJ superbly good at ignoring bad gut feelings, so in a way, we are sensitive. But as elaborated by the poster, he means "sensitive" in the sense that we don't overreact. That's the business of INFPs. Most of the time, INFJs can be extremely neutral and uncaring about a variety of things going on around them. One big contrast, of course, is the issue of jealousy, which is apparent in INFPs but quite absent in INFJs. INFPs feel their own emotions deeply, that is sensitivity. INFJs feel others emotions deeply and are often very confused by their own. Also, INFJs who are healthy usually have very good defenses against the emotions of others. In my case, I think I find myself too often in situations that continuously wear down my ability to filter emotions and thus my oversensitivity. I would hate to be an INFP...because honestly, their empathy is fake and manipulative at best, at least that's how I view it.
Another distinction perhaps lie in that INFPs...as I see it...are quite selfish. They naturally ask "How does this impact me?" before "How does this affect others?" because of their Fi being a dominant function. Even in ENFPs, who have Fi as well, it is not that bad because it's auxiliary. Therefore, INFPs are probably quicker to react to situations, understanding the direct relation of things that impact them. On the other hand, INFJs become sensitive only after realising their helplessness. I don't get upset easily if people target me. I get upset when someone else is upset and there's not a thing in the world I can do, or I failed to do whatever I needed to do. That's when we get upset, so the reaction is slower.
4. INFJ and Brain Orientation
That is why, the most common careers for INFJs statistically are actually - religious worker, counsellor and...scientists. You would think that NFs make for horrible scientists, but surprisingly, like INFJs always are, we are quite different from other NFs. While all other NFs are right-brained, INFJ have a very deep balance between right and left, because of the Ti function coming so early in the order. For ENFJs, Ti is inferior and thus not often used. For ENFPs and INFPs, it's Te instead and Te is generally less adept than Ti for science purposes. So while INFJs are often considered empathetic, spiritual, creative, etc etc, we are very capable of taking on scientific careers as long as we put effort and interest into it. That's maybe why I often find myself equally good at science and arts, depending only on the level of interest I have. The only problem with science in school is the problem that teachers don't explain half the things they teach because "it's not in the syllables" and then get annoyed when you spend too much time reading up on things instead of doing their useless homework (which is just me copying directly from the notes).
5. INFJ and Betrayal
Ah yes. NFs are all cuddly-little love bears, aren't we? But there's a reason why INFJs are so scary. Have you ever heard of the warm and cold temperaments? Here's how it goes for the NFs:
INFP: Lukewarm on the outside, warm on the inside
ENFP: Warm on the outside, warm on the inside
INFJ: Cold on the outside, warm on the inside
ENFJ: Warm on the outside, warm on the inside
So INFJ is the only NF with a "cold" under their belt. "Inside" is what we show with trust and so when INFJ's trust is betrayed, we may not become the scariest type, but we certainly make people feel the worst. It's hard to push an INFJ to the point of an absolute door slam, but the moment it arrives, it brings along a winter chill and passive-aggressiveness that other types cannot compare to. I think "door slam" is an understatement, because we don't slam just one door. We slam all the doors and build so many walls that you can't possibly climb back again. But of course, it depends on what "crime" you have committed. INFJs are the types to care about "intentions" and so if betrayal comes with the intention to betray, you can be sure we throw you into a pit so deep and wish hell upon your entire life. The number of doors slammed in your face...well, it approaches infinity at that point.
6. INFJ Most Likely
7. INFJ and Maturity
But doesn't it scare others when you are more mature and knowing than them? It makes people uncomfortable when you know them too well. It makes people feel inferior if you reveal to them too many things they don't know. Not academic things, mind you, just things that INFJs tend to learn through observation. INFJs, like the INTJs, are born as very quiet children, who have bouts of intelligence that scare adults. It's not because we are miraculous, we just have the habit of observing and noting patterns from an extremely young age. Social cues become something that is established early in life and we try to follow them through childhood, only to realise when they are appropriate later in life.
We observe the adults. When mommy tells aunty a secret, aunty will pat her on the back and share something about herself in return. Even as tiny children, INFJs start to ask "Why?" Why does aunty pat mommy on the back? - Soft physical contact from a trusted individual creates comfort. Why does aunty tell mommy something back? - To reassure her that her secret is safe, offering her own secret in return as if to say "If I tell your secrets, you can betray me too". INFJs note these kinds of things down. It's slightly different from INTJs. INTJs are more likely to stare at the airplanes, the TVs, the sky and then suddenly ask "mommy, if the sea is blue and the sky is blue, are the same thing?"
8. INFJ and How They Relate to Other Types
INFJ: Identity
They are the same types. Feeling like they are competing in the same space, the two may initially oppose each other. However, they usually recognise their similarities and begin to cooperate.
ENFJ: Pal
Similar worldviews, foals and thoughts. The Introvert is more original, while the Extrovert is better at implementing goals and plans. They get along at work and at play.
INFP: Complement
They have interests in similar realms but their strengths have opposite emphasis. They solve the same problem with different approaches and for different reasons.
ENFP: Contrast
They have the same order of functions but the Introvert/Extrovert direction of each function is reversed. They have similar interests but the Perceiver thinks of possibilities while the Judger thinks of plans. They have different goals and opposite emphasis on strengths.
ISTP: Supplement
They have the same functions in different order. One's weaker strengths are the other's stronger strengths. Their strengths can add to each other.
ESTP: Anima
They have the same functions but in reverse order. Each sees the other as having strengths that the former wishes to improve upon.
ISFP: Suitemate
The two enjoy the same environment and have little interpersonal friction. They do not have anything in common but they can enjoy everyday activities together.
ESFP: Cohort
The two find each other in the same activities only when one is stressed out and wishes to "escape" from normalcy.
INTJ: Companion
They have the same primary function. The two have a mutual understanding of each other and can talk on a deep, honest level.
ENTJ: Tribesman
They have similar cultures and are often found in the same social groups. They have different strengths and will be pursuing goals independent of each other.
INTP: Advisor
Each has insight that the other lacks. They find each other to be a source of fresh perspectives and enjoy each other's company.
ENTP: Pedagogue
Each has insight and strength that the other lacks. They develop a parent-child relationship.
ISTJ: Enigma
They are completely mysteries to each other. They have different goals and strengths.
ESTJ: Novelty
Their differences are so striking that they are curious about each other. They sometimes run into conflict due to their fundamental differences in worldview.
ISFJ: Neighbour
The two are often found in the same jobs or walks of life, but they reached their position through completely different means.
ESFJ: Counterpart
The two perform the same functions but are in different realms. They have mutual respect for each other but do not necessarily wish they had the same skillset as the other.
9. INFJ Traits
Sees Self as a deep-thinker in love with new ideas and insights, but somewhat detached from others.
Overriding need to understand the complexity of people and life.
Irritated by hypocrisy, limits on personal freedom, impersonal details and mundane tasks.
Strengths provides future-oriented insights that inspire others, follows through on commitments with integrity and consistency
Seen by others as somebody who is creative, insightful, stubborn and hard to get to know
Decides through private pondering, may make up mind too quickly and then worry endlessly
Irritates others by neglecting details, getting over-emotional, going off at unrealistic tangents, using overly complex language
Challenges may take criticism personally, blurt out feelings unwisely, withdraw socially for long periods, succumb to addictive disorders

Random Nonsense #8: Ranting, Top Mario Galaxy 1/2 Songs, MBTI
I have no idea why I never ever get aggressive towards my cousin despite all the shit that she does. I'll probably make for an exceedingly indulgent parent whose aggression is only shown through passive-aggressiveness. It doesn't help that my cousin is also extremely unintuitive and does not understand the meaning of personal space. She's extremely clingy, physically I mean, and would not stop with her physical affections. Being way too indulgent, I often just glare at her and opt not to move away in fear of hurting her feelings. It's not boding too well for my mental state.
Her presence makes weekends a pain. I cannot sleep early because she's in that stage of her life where she still thinks that sleeping late makes her cool. I got out of that stage by the age of 14 and she's 16 now. She thinks I'm being old...well, I am old. If I have nothing to do and I can sleep, I will sleep. I don't see the point of staying up till 1am or 2am every night because it's "cool". I don't it's cool when I feel like shit the next day and start snapping at everything that moves. Honestly, they say on Tumblr that INFJs never get angry and an angry INFJ is probably just sleepy. That's absolutely right. I do get into a horrendously bad mood when I'm tired.
My mom has told me to tell my cousin off, but I do feel bad about it. It is, for the weekends at least, her room as well and I could always just reach over for my earphones to drown out her videos and her laughing. I know it's 3am (or 4am, I'm not even sure anymore) and she's supposed to be asleep, but I do not have the right to tell her to, in my opinion at least. Since I can drown out her voice, I should just do so. I should only tell her off if there is no way for me to drown her voice out, which would then make her actions an infringement upon my rights. So as long as I can do something about it, I think there's no reason for me to tell her off. My mom obviously thinks otherwise, since she's that kind of person to act like the whole world owes her a favour, but I honestly cannot take on such a personality, especially in a sleepy state. I'll bend over backwards to avoid conflicts, as long as I can bend over backwards.
And then there's the issue of her using my study table that I also tolerate. My mom rolled her eyes at me, but my dad's worse. I actually got scolded for letting my cousin get her way. Well, she does need to do homework too and I'm fine doing work in the living room. I'm not going to wait for someone else to take the initiative to do something nice and since it's just 2 days, I don't really mind exiling myself from my own room. My mom just thinks I'm being too nice for no reason and my dad thinks I'm pathetic. Obviously he wouldn't understand...in every argument we ever had, I'm always the one to take a step back because I realise that he never would and even if I'm still convinced that I'm right, there is no reason to escalate the tension any further just for the sake of proving him wrong. Firstly, my dad will never give in to an alternate point-of-view if he is convinced of his own and secondly, I have much better things to do than argue with an immovable wall all night. It has gotten to the point that in every discussion I have with my dad, I never fully express my viewpoint because I know he despises it. We legitimately cannot see eye-to-eye on everything.
There are other people who tell me that we can't see eye-to-eye on issues, but they probably never seen my dad and I argue. Even from the simplest things like - if someone accidentally knocks into you, will you apologise? My dad's opinion is a straight-up "no" because "it's not my fault and you were the one who inconvenienced me". My opinion is that I should say "yes" either way. because no matter how I see it, I should. If they knocked into me accidentally, then they didn't mean it, so I should apologise too. If they meant to knock into me, then he/she must be having a bad day and I should take the initiative to be nice. My dad called me weak and pathetic again...well, if being strong means I'm going to be insensitive as hell, then I'll rather be weak.
Then there's the long-lasting argument about the value of friendship and love. In my dad's mind, friendships are built for you to...make use of those friends as stepping stones in life. Love is, in his words, just chemical reactions meant to ensure the survival of the species. Parental love is nothing more than an animal instinct to ensure that their offspring survives to pass on their genes. The look of disgust on my face when I heard all those...I think I sort of deserved those slaps I got because it's probably very rude to look at one's own father with such a disapproving glare.
Humans are so much more than that, and even animals, even animals are more than that. Wolves nurture their young to ensure the survival of their genes. Yes, that is right. But why does the rest of the pack also participate in bringing up the new pups. The Beta of each pack, despite being unrelated to the pups, becomes their caretaker. The Alpha male, the father, teaches his pups how to hunt. The rest of the pack protects the new pups and even the Omega participates. Maybe it's still just a mechanic for species survival, but look beyond that and the difference between how species develop such behaviours is what defines love, I think.
Love among a pack of wolves come in the form of how wolves are unique in pack dynamics. The Omega submits entirely to the Alpha and the rest of the pack, getting the last pick when eating. However, they also have the least responsibility and is protected by every member ranking above them. The Alpha has uncontested power over the pack, but with that comes the great responsibility of protecting and ruling over the pack as a kind leader who takes care of his underlings. That, to me, is a way wolves show love towards one another. Also, if you want to talk about love in the exclusive sense, then wolves demonstrate it too. I don't think many know this but wolves pick a mate for life. Upon the death of their mates, wolves rarely take a new mate and spend the rest of their lives mourning. And humans often mock animals for their lack of "complicated emotions". In the human world, how many marriages actually last for life?
But I can't say any of these to my dad, because if I'm wrong - I'm wrong with no valid argument. So, why do I even bother? Probably because I cannot settle for any injustice in this world, especially when the injustice is done in degrading the value of humanity? My dad is so biased that he can believe that all religious people are bad. And my face is just like "...that makes no sense, dad". I know that's the way he was brought up, but do you not question such things? How can you generalise people like that...and also, I'm the kind of person to believe that there is no such thing as a bad person, just like Kishou Arima says in Tokyo Ghoul:
Her presence makes weekends a pain. I cannot sleep early because she's in that stage of her life where she still thinks that sleeping late makes her cool. I got out of that stage by the age of 14 and she's 16 now. She thinks I'm being old...well, I am old. If I have nothing to do and I can sleep, I will sleep. I don't see the point of staying up till 1am or 2am every night because it's "cool". I don't it's cool when I feel like shit the next day and start snapping at everything that moves.
Even Paarthurnax in Skyrim phrases Good and Evil more as a matter of choice. Of course, because of the nature of the creatures in Skyrim, there are those born innately Good/Evil, but Paarthurnax still phrases the end result of being Good/Evil as a choice.
Okay, moving on to other topics:
Top Mario Galaxy 1/2 Songs
Although I may like 3D World a lot more in terms of gameplay (because of the cat suit), I think that Mario Galaxy has the best music in the entire series...probably because they have a lot of good additions and good remixes. Here are 10 of the most notable soundtracks, in my opinion.
1. Bowser's Galaxy Generator - Galaxy 2
2. Bowser Jr. (Fast) - Galaxy 1
3. Gusty Gardens Galaxy - Galaxy 1
4. King Kaliente (Fast) - Galaxy 1
5. Toy Time Galaxy - Galaxy 1 (Super Mario Bros. Remix)
6. Buoy Base Galaxy (Underwater) - Galaxy 1
7. Cosmic Cove Galaxy - Galaxy 2
8. Fluffy Bluff Galaxy - Galaxy 2
9. Throwback Galaxy (N64 Remade Stage) - Galaxy 2 (N64 Remix)
10. Starshine Beach Galaxy - Galaxy 2
MBTI Stuff YAY
1. MBTI Travelling
ENFJ: Buys lots of guidebooks. Someone who trusts others' advice and goes to exactly what the guidebook tells them in the best.
Ehhhh...isn't that boring though. I mean you should check out the recommended places, yeah, but you should also go walk around or something...just don't get lost.
ENFP: Gets lost in a crowd. Someone who would inevitably drag one pal and run off towards something "cool" they saw, only to get both them and their friend lost.
Could get frustrating after a while, but I usually keep in mind the places I've walked past anyway. Okay, I'll go on a trip with ENFP.
ENTJ: Needs to be in control. Someone who tries to manage everything that's going on and gives vendors who pull you over dirty looks.
You can take your F cousin and go plan your trip together then. I want no part in this restrictive and convoluted travel.
ENTP: The fun one who provides an air of spontaneity. Someone who would suddenly decide ot change an activity or run through the streets.
These are the people who will make a vacation feel like a vacation. The lack of scheduling, the spontaneity, they may become a bit overbearing and scary, but still, a nice change of pace. Right now my vacation crew has ENFP and ENTP.
ESFJ: Checks that everyone is happy. The typical mom of the group who over packs just in case one or two or ten of their friends needs a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc
May become a little too naggy but useful to keep around in case those scatter-brained P types end up forgetting their things. But I don't know if I want to bring these people along on the actual travelling around because they might become quite annoying.
ESFP: Gets distracted by small vendor shops. Someone who has to look at everything and enjoys doing things and being there 24/7.
While the spontaneity of ENTP and ENFP may be tolerable since they can probably sense it when I'm annoyed, ESFP may just drive me crazy. I still would like to keep to a schedule, though probably much less restrictive than ENTJ's frigging business-like schedule.
ESTJ: Has all the maps and herds everyone in the right direction. Someone who micromanages things, but ultimately gets everyone where they need to be.
Oh man, fuck off and join the ENTJ and ENFJ. You can micromanage where they will be every second of the day though I reckon that ESTJ and ENTJ will be fighting for control over the schedule.
ESTP: Doesn't mind physical activity. Someone who would find a hiking trail or physical activity to do a trip.
Ah, I don't mind bringing these people along. They would probably make a day at the beach a whole lot of fun and be a source of motivation for hiking trips.
INFJ: Needs constant breaks. Someone who would bring along a book for some peace and quiet after a long, hectic day.
That's actually very true. As much as I enjoy spontaneity in the day activities, at night, back in the hotel, you'd better stay away from me. I'm recharging my introvert batteries and I dislike it when people disrupt me when I'm reading something.
INFP: Would want to stop at cute cafes hidden in alleyways. Someone who would find "hidden gems" in a city and stay in a hostel.
I still enjoy my fancy hotels, so INFP will have to give way for that. I don't mind being dragged to secluded and weird places that most people don't notice though. They often make for nice little distractions from the noisier tourist sites.
INTJ: Thoroughly researches the city just in case some sort of natural disaster happens. Someone who can take over if the ESTJ/ISTJ gets confused and will emerge unscathed.
So basically people who are very organised but won't force their organisation and schedule on the others unless they have to? Yes please, you are invited.
INTP: Use the experiences to broaden their mind. Someone who would be interested by the different types of technology in a foreign country.
They would be the type to bring you sight-seeing across the cities and honestly...I don't mind it. Though I don't like it either.
ISFJ: Caught up buying souvenirs. Someone who buys souvenirs for all their friends because "This one reminded me of you!"
No wonder INFJs and ISFJs get along. I like doing such things too! I often make it a point to buy one present for every one of my close friends...not from a single souvenir shop but across a variety of them.
ISFP: Reads all about food. Someone who would choose the food and take the photos of every dish before eating.
Get out. I hate it when people take pictures when eating. No questions asked. Get lost.
ISTJ: Similar to the ESTJ. Makes sure everyone is where they need to be. The Dad of the friend group, ready to tackle any problems the group faces and problem solve.
Then your existence is void. I do like to have a Mom in the group, but I can Dad the group myself. Not to mention that I'm probably more flexible, tolerant and everything, so we don't need an ISTJ. Thank you very much.
ISTP: Wouldn't mind travelling alone. Someone who would branch off from the group to do exploration by themselves.
I really don't mind if they disappear them. It's like keeping a cat - they leave when they want but they'll come back in the end.
2. MBTI As Scents
ENFP: Citrus - bright/exciting, sharp/quick
I like citrus scents! I haven't met many people who don't like them, but I've met many who love citrus. Even those who claim they don't like it usually end up liking it if you don't tell them what the scent is first.
ENFJ: Warm towels - warm, unoffensive, handy, everyone likes
Once again, everyone likes but no one loves. Seriously, is anyone's favourite scent "warm towels"? That's bizarre as heck.
INFJ: Tea - warmth, soft/nice, gets more intense as it steeps
Yes so I like my own type's fragrance, that's nice. It is a scent that intensifies in effect as time goes on and the effect you find in drinking it can be obtained through smelling it too e.g. soothing.
INFP: Cinnamon - lots of small, sharp smell, warm
I like cinnamon buns...but they can get a little too sweet. Those cinnamon-scented pencils, for example, are great at first sniff, but can become quite overwhelming in a short amount of time.
INTJ: Pineapple
That's just weird...but it's almost citrus-like with a tinge of sourness. So I guess I'll like it?
INTP: Old books
Is it weird that I think books just generally smell really nice? I don't even read fiction that much anymore but I still like the smell of the books. Weird. I'm weird.
ENTJ: Pine
The opposite of citrus scents. In Cosmetic Chemistry, I've learnt that citrus often appeals to the childish side of people while pine and other woody scents are for mature people. That is why I dislike pine but I love citrus.
ENTP: Coconut
Don't like coconut. Looks weird. Smells weird. Tastes weird. Just generally very weird. An acquired taste/smell apparently.
ISFJ: Vanilla - warm, traditional, well-loved, everyone's favourite
Ah yes, that was the scent I associated with my ISFJ friend in the first place. It's a very sweet yet warming scent, somehow bringing out a protective spirit in me (like I'm a guy or something). It's not that she actually has that scent around her, it's just what I associate with her.
ESFP: Chocolate - feel great in the moment, not so much in the long run
No, you're wrong. I don't ever mind the smell of chocolate. It's amazingly aromatic and fragrant. Dark chocolate more than milk or white, because the smell of cocoa is stronger.
ISFP: Baking bread - home and warm feelings
I love the smell of bakeries! There's always something so endearing about the scent of freshly-made bread and the image of a traditional baker.
ESFJ: Gingerbread - warm, holiday treat, traditional
Gingerbread...I'm partial to gingerbread. It does smell amazing but the taste itself isn't all that great.
ISTJ: Freshly-mown grass
I can't believe this type got such an awesome smell. Natural smells like grass, rain, etc are my favourite scents and tea happen to be on that list because it's one of the only manufactured goods so closely linked to nature.
ESTP: Bonfire smoke
I'm sorry. I cannot take smoke, no matter the source. I seem to be overly sensitive too it, not allergic, just sensitive. It makes my nose itch unbearably and even makes me want to throw up. It's a weird reaction I have towards smoke...
ISTP: Leather
Usually something that people like, but to me, it's a little too artificial and formal.
ESTJ: Fresh ink
Why? Why would you like the smell of ink? I guess liking ink as an object is fine, but the smell?
3. Most to Least Possessive
1. ENTJ
2. ESTJ
3. INTJ
4. INFP
5. ISTJ
6. ISFP
7. ENFP
8. ESFJ
9. ENFJ
10. ISFJ
11. INFJ
12. ESFP
13. ENTP
14. INTP
15. ESTP
16. ISTP
I was going to be surprised, but then I realised who are those that topped the list - ENTJ and INTJ. The theory I now have is that, the more you blame problems in your relationship on yourself, the lower on the list you are. The reason why INFJs are so low on the list isn't because we don't get jealous or aren't committed enough - it's probably because we see every mistake as "our fault". Really, I think I would be the type that when I get cheated on, I wouldn't even get angry at the guy. It's probably something I did, what I didn't do enough, that has caused him to cheat. So I wouldn't get possessive...I'll just get clinically depressed. Meanwhile, ENTJs and INTJs are likely to blame everything on their partner while INFPs are just Yandere-central.
4. The INFJ and Casual Conversations/Small Talk
Most Introverts are against having small talks, especially since they have to interact with others for no apparent reason. For INTJs and INFJs, this is particularly true, because while both types are very enthusiastic in holding intellectual or meaningful conversations, small talk can drive these types from liking you to hating you in seconds. These types speak for reasons, INTJs for knowledge, discover, wisdom and INFJs for counsel, comfort and warmth. So when asked trivial questions, both types are likely to not reply, believing that there is little reason in offering a response.
For this post, we are targeting INFJs in particular. INFJs, unlike other NF types, are innately aware of social responsibilities and social cues. Because of that, they have a very fixed and accurate impression on the type of responses appropriate for different conversations. For every trivial, common question asked, they have a response prepared. However, because they remain to be Introverts, small talks annoy them very quickly, driving them to the point of disliking interaction with the person initiating such conversations.
INFJs are the most extroverted of Introverts, because of their secondary function, Fe, which makes them acutely aware of the emotions of people around them. While Te, an extroverted function, works by allowing the user to express their thoughts openly, Fe works by absorbing information instead. INFJs thrive on their Fe and Ni combination, much like the ENFJ, but their natural introversion creates a natural dislike for conversations that cannot awaken their Fe. If the conversation is deemed as pointless, shallow or just unnecessary, the INFJ can become the ultimate introvert - replying with short, clipped answers or not replying verbally at all, throwing a glare instead. On the other hand, a meaningful conversation, stereotypically one that calls for the INFJ's counsel, turns them into an extrovert - talkative, warm and exceedingly attentive - thus the confusion with ENFJs.
The combination of adherence to social cues and the dislike of casual conversations does not bode well for INFJs or their friends. When offended by a question deemed to be pointless, INFJs are usually very unlikely to respond negatively. They will often stick to social cues and respond accordingly, meanwhile making the decision to avoid all interactions with the person again. Of course, persistency can act in 2 ways. The INFJ can either go into a withdrawal almost magical, with them vanishing the moment you try to appraoch them. Or, INFJs will tell you outright that you are annoying them.
INFJs are walking contradictions. They will not want to hurt your feelings by telling you off, but frankness is still one of their values. When pushed to the limit, they will snap and turn on you faster than any other type with cold, biting sarcasm found in their T cousins, the INTJ. "Did you think I was going to respond any other way?" "Don't bother asking me that." Anything that may make the INFJ seem more like an INTJ. Of course, their responses are still laced with underlying emotions.
Avoid small talk with INFJs, but INFJs are aware that small talk is sometimes necessary. We can't all go into speaking about our deepest and darkest secrets on the first meeting. But all INFJs have a limit, for everyone in their lives. At one point, the INFJ will expect you to reveal something, by which time if you don't, they will "give you what you deserve" - coldness with coldness. Even if you are not being cold, the act of not revealing something deeper is a violation of a social cue and thus, the punishment exacted is what the INFJ deems to be an equal withdrawal from the relationship.
While INFJs may not be the most compatible with S types, SF types may be an exception precisely of their strict views on social cues. SFs, while not being attuned to the INFJ, abide by the same social cues that allow INFJs to be more receptive towards their short-comings. INFJs may also clash with INFPs and ENFJs, because of the two types' common ignorance towards social cues that may make INFJs very cautious of them. ENFPs fare better because even if the INFJ isn't a believer of the MBTI, they intuitive sense that ENFPs are genuinely and sincerely scatter-brained and unique people who cannot be forced into following social cues.
5. Stereotype NF Pairings and their Differences
The common NF pairings, ENFJ x INFP and ENFP x INFJ may seem very similar in an American drama setting, but still possess very distinct differences. One of the most basic differences is that in the ENFJ x INFP pairing, the INFP is almost always the socially-withdrawn boy while the ENFJ girl is some popular but nice girl. In the ENFP x INFJ pairing, however, the pairing works for genders in American drama.
ENFJ x INFP pairings are often very idealistic, yet 1-dimensional. The quiet and withdrawn boy at the corner of the class who is musically and artistically talented but too shy to be noticed. The ENFJ girl who is either his childhood friend or one of his only friends for some other reason. The story is very typical, with the extrovert trying to open up the introvert. The 1-dimensional nature comes in because the growth of the characters is often 1-way, with the INFP learning to open up and gaining more friends, growing his life, while the ENFJ's benefits are limited...often something like...gaining peace in her life?
ENFP and INFJ pairings are usually more dynamic and is also common in Japanese Animations, or Anime. In the case of an ENFP boy and INFJ girl, the girl is almost like an INFP, withdrawn, quiet, shy, and talented. However, unlike the INFP, she also has scenes where she becomes quite authoritative or shows off her ability to be more than just a shy girl. She is also, in the eyes of the ENFP, a strong and intelligent girl, whose potential is unseen the eyes of others. The ENFP boy is a popular guy who is also the class clown. In a class project or some other group event, he finds himself in the company of the INFJ and through the project, learns that she is much more than just a shy girl. This overcomes the problem of a 1-dimensional character, as in the INFP, who is usually just shy. The INFJ stereotype allows for a multi-layered character which the ENFP boy has to uncover. The ENFP boy is also more of a multi-dimensional character because ENFJs are often portrayed as "perfect" characters, with no flaws needing fixing. On the other hand, ENFPs may not be as attuned to their ability to care for a single person, which the INFJ brings them to realise. In the ENFP and INFJ interaction, it is common for the ENFP to try to teach INFJ to open up but end up with the INFJ teaching the ENFP something more about themselves.
Still, these are stereotypes. ENFJs are anything but perfect, with flaws that INFJs can fix as well, although often it's ENFPs that are getting the INFJs' counsel. INFPs are not just shy and withdrawn, 1-dimensional and boring characters. INFJs are also not as mystical as most shows make them out to be, and the process of uncovering their true selves is often unrealistic and unlikely to actually cause an INFJ in real-life to open up. ENFPs are not all scatter-brained, hyperactive individuals and that only applies to those that have not developed their tertiary and inferior functions adequately.
Outside of the drama perspective, the pairings may still work as they are portrayed. The INFP and INFJ's difference in "reflecting emotions" and "absorbing emotions" respectively is the same in ENFJs and ENFPs. ENFJ's walls are defined by their ability to reflect back people's emotions, so that they see what they want to see. ENFJs do not actually feel the pain from the other person, such is the quality of "reflection". ENFPs, like the INFJs, absorb emotions. Thus, they may often not seem like they understand you, because they aren't reflecting your emotions back, but they have absorbed every ounce of your emotions in themselves. Though as an INFJ, I show disdain towards the act of "reflecting" as the equivalent of lying or pretending to understand, it is actually debatable as to whether "reflecting" or "absorbing" is more empathetic.

Post-Exam Joy
I know the next exams are in about 2-3 months' time and I really shouldn't start slacking, but...it's me. I screwed up the exams this time, not because I didn't study enough (although "enough" is very subjective), but because of my own stupidity. Also, it didn't help that I was a little more nervous than I usually am in an exam environment. In fact, I think I was so prepared to take A Level Econs that that became the reason why I just went ahead and did a combination of 3 questions based on the A Level style of "minimum 1 question from each section, to a total of 3".
Out of all the papers, I actually had the most fun with Literature and the least fun with Math. It's weird because I spent about 1.5 weeks on Math in total and a total of less than 2 hours on Literature. It was more light-hearted and slow-paced and when compared to History and Econs, I had more than enough time to think about my answer before writing it. On the other hand, the other two papers required me to read the question and immediately start writing because I as hell can't plan and write an essay in 45 min. It's as if they expect everyone who takes the A Levels to have the ability to plan while writing.
If Literature exam rules stated that I could not bring in my books, it would be a completely different story. I have no idea how many people are stupid enough to not realise that half the answers for "All My Sons" are found in the Introduction. The entire point about Joe Keller being short-sighted and uncaring about humanity in general, thus undermining the goodness of his intentions and thus making him a villain, is found on page 3 of the Introduction. I just copied the entire thing down, inserted a quote and analysed the quote. Didn't even have to think of the phrasing myself.
Well, resourcefulness has always been a strong suit of mine. I remember those days in Secondary School where we had so many random assessments that gave you a period of 1-3 weeks to hand up a project. Yeah, I always did them in 3 days and people are shocked by the amount of information I have inside. "Really? All I did was to type in ___ in Google..." How is it that the search engine likes me more?
In fact, the Literature paper was so slack for me that I ended up thinking about things other than the answer. For example, the only useful quote I remembered was from Lady Windermere's Fan, in the first act, in which Lady Windermere goes - "It (Life) is not speculation. It is a sacrament; Its ideal is Love and its purification is Sacrifice." This quote is meant to be an expression of her naive idealism, and to some extent, her moral absolutism, when paired with the quote that comes after during the "If the husband is vile - should the wife be vile also?" part. The scary thing I realised during the paper was that...I think I do agree with that statement. Does that mean that I am equally naive?
"Its ideal is Love." Well, it is. If everyone in this world possess unconditional love for everyone else around them, then yes, I do believe that this world would be a much better place and thus, Love, of the unconditional variant, is an ideal. "Its purification is Sacrifice." That's also true. Sacrifice, to put it in another way, is to be limitlessly selfless and to always prioritise the well-being of others. So, when considering the capitalist culture of the world today, which exacerbates the issues of being selfish, uncaring and material/profit-driven, Sacrifice thus purifies the corruption of capitalism.
Oh no. Here I am, criticising Lady Windermere on her naivety and praising her progress throughout the play (of course, arguing that at the end, she physically escapes reality by going to Selby and isn't exposed to the entire truth, thus undermining the extent of her progress) and I'm actually believing in the same things. Is she an INFP? I think she's an INFP. Her decisions are a little too rash and her actions are a little too contradictory to her beliefs to be an INFJ, but I think INFP is fair judgement.
Math was just nightmare. History killed my arm and then Math killed my brain. It is not a good idea to have a Math paper after any paper because I think Math is a subject where you cannot have your energy drained. You need full energy. I feel asleep during the paper, for like 15 minutes and barely had time to finish. Well, at least I did finish the paper... Also, people are going to hate me for this, but I really wished there was more calculus because I know I'm better at it than others and it will differentiate me. Statistics is overwhelmingly simple, and I'd probably lose out to some people because of that. There was only 1 bloody question for Differentiation...but it was quite difficult.
History was quite fun too, but it didn't have the light-heartedness of Literature. I was very on-task, since I recorded down the time I took for each essay and they had a mean of 45 minutes with a variance of about 5 minutes. Thus since n = 4<50, variance and population is known, by Central Limit Theorem...Nah, I'll stop there. Anyway, the questions are relatively simple and straightforward, except for that SEA Hist question on idealogical differences.
This brings me to another issue. Why do people go for consults? What is the purpose of consults if I remember the teacher's instructions better than you do even after you have went for consult. She has said at least 3 times that if the question asks about "idealogical differences", you focus on that and don't spend half your essay addressing other factors. Really, I remembered that after the very first time she said it and I got the structure for those kind of essays too. Why do people go for consults and not remember such things? Bizarre. But then again, I have never, in all my years in school, needed consults.
Also, I have a certain distaste towards people who go for them. It's just the notion that 1. The teacher has done her part in teaching and revision should be my responsibility. The teacher does not need to entertain me if I failed to listen in class. And half the time, the things she say in consults are whatever she has said a million times in class already. 2. I actually need help. 3. That people would seek help from teachers without first studying by themselves.
I know I'm a very proud person and it's against my pride to ask teachers for help. I have went to school in China for a term and I know that teachers there do not give a shit about whether you understand. Singaporean teachers hold your hands like nothing else I've seen. Even the kindergarten teachers in China don't hold you hands that much. Honestly, in China, teaching is their job. They have taught everything already and it's your problem if you didn't listen and you didn't understand. Take some damn pride in yourself and use your damn brain to figure things out if you don't understand. If your brain can't figure it out, the consults are unlikely to fix that.
Furthermore, it angers me when people who don't usually study go for consults. Seriously, when my friends who study their asses off all day go for consults, I have no problem with that. It's the feeling that they have already tried their best and devoted a lot of effort into it. Thus they have reached a very well-established conclusion that they need help. People who don't usually study that go for consult - people who have no pride and no respect for hard work. If you never even tried, don't you dare go for consults, you lazy piece of shit! Have some goddamn pride in yourself and try by yourself first. I'm sure no one in the future will hold your hand unless you manipulate them to. In which case I know what MBTI you are then.
I think the only time I came close to a consult was the time when I spent about 6 hours one night trying to figure out a question. Even then, I never EVER take other people's answers as the correct one. It is against my pride to copy Math answers, because it's the admittance that 1. I am inferior to you. 2. I am incapable of just admitting my failure outright. I never ask for the answer, unless I've already solved the question. If I can't solve, I'll just ask the teacher for a prompt - for the direction of thinking I should take and go from there. It angers me and disgusts me when people just take answers as they are without thinking or even trying. If you don't want to use your brain, dig it out and bury it. At least then it's doing something productive, like providing nutrients for the soil.
Now for MBTI on Tumblr stuff. If I rant anymore, I'll just end up getting myself annoyed at people.
1. MBTI Arguing Squads
Would start crying during an argument squad: INFP, ISFP, ENFP, ESFP
I used to cry when I argued with my dad, but it was that kind of uncontrollable tears because my dad, until this day, has the belief that because he is older than me, everything I say is wrong and everything he says is right. But crying during an argument is the worst way to state your point, because to me, crying will always be a sign of weakness. You are more likely to trust in the opinion of someone who states it confidently, rather than someone who is breaking down.
Didn't realise they were in an argument squad: ENTP, INTP, ESTP, ISTJ
Really? Did you not feel the spike in tension? Do you not feel the plunge in the mood?
Knew they were arguing and meant to make the other person cry squad: ENTJ, ESTJ, INTJ, ISTP
How can I like ENTJs and INTJs less than I already do? This is what makes me hate them so much. You argue to state a point and I often withdraw when I see I've pushed the other person too far, regardless of who I think is right. I don't want to win the battle, but lose the war. In contrast, these people will go to any extent to make you admit that they are right. Disgusting. It disgusts me to think that people believe that it's more important to prove the rightness of your opinion than to ensure the well-being of the people around you. Just because you are an insensitive jerk, doesn't mean everyone else is like that too. These people...I don't ever want to know them particularly well.
Is comforting the crying person squad: ENFJ, INFJ, ISFJ, ESFJ
I have done that more times than I can count...especially since I often find myself trying to mitigate arguments between two very emotional parties. One person would break down crying and while I'm comforting them, the other one breaks down because they think I'm being biased. I don't mind comforting them, but I would rather not have a situation in which people are crying in the first place.
2. Four Seasons Squad
Spring: ISFP, ESFJ, ENFP, INFP
I like spring, because stereotypically, it's the season of new beginnings. Of course, like the poem I have mentioned thousands of times, that may not be the truth of the season, but when the majority of people believe in that connotation and become happy with the arrival of spring, then it really doesn't matter. People are happy during spring and that's what matters.
Summer: ESFP, ESTP, ENFJ, ENTJ
I hate summer. Worst time of the year. It's hot, it's stuffy and it's what Singapore has all year round. The trees are too green with too little variation, people are too loud and too boisterous. It's a chore to be in summer. It's the transition between my two favourite seasons that I have to bear with.
Autumn: ISTP, ESTJ, ISFJ, INFJ
The most beautiful time of the year. I like the feeling of autumn a little more than spring. Spring is too optimistic, too ideal and as the most realistic type within the idealists, INFJs are the most drawn towards melancholy and the beauty of it. While the other NF types avoid unpleasantries, INFJs often find beauty in them. The coming of winter is usually not something people enjoy, but it is beautiful all the same. Leaves turn into fiery red, warm orange and brilliant gold, the chill of the wind as it ruffles the red-orange-gold. The image of a world of pure-white that awaits after autumn. It's a transitionary season that is all too melancholic and beautiful at the same time.
Winter: ISTJ, ENTP, INTJ, INTP
Winter, here, is associated with cold-hearted types. I can't agree any less. People see summer as a happy season and winter as a sad one, but I think summer is superficial and fake, and true beauty lies in winter. Winter the season where everything gets covered in a layer of pure-white, almost like the purification of nature, waiting and preparing for a new year ahead. Also, it's the end of the year, a time for families to meet once more and celebrate the festivities of winter together. This, in comparison with the frivolity and superficiality of summer, makes winter an amazing season. So yes, I just really hate summer.

4. INFJ-INTP on Psychology
INFJ: I didn't know you were interested in Psychology as well.
INTP: I find it to be fascinating, the human mind is indeed the most complex system there is.
INFJ: Have you any interest in becoming a psychiatrist?
INTP: *stares at him incredulously* Me? A psychiatrist?
INFJ: *raises an eyebrow* You seem to be rather invested in Psychology and Psychiatry is a bran--
INTP: Psychiatry entails prolonged interactions with human beings, most of which don't have a legitimate ailment - well, at least one that is more serious than the death of their goldfish. Do you actually expect me to sit there and empathise with such trivialities?
INFJ: I thought the human mind was a fascinating, complex system?
INTP: It is! I want to understand it - to experiment on and explore its capacities and capabilities. I'm not interested in helping people.
INFJ:*stares at him thoughtfully*
INTP: Stop profiling me.

6. INFJ Rage
7. How to Attract MBTI Types
ENFP: Flirt with them once and then act completely unattainable. ENFPs love a challenge.
That isn't that hard to do. No wonder these people are so easily taken in with others.
INFP: Act like you have a deep, brooding secret that you're too guarded to reveal. The INFP will not sleep, eat, or breathe until they've broken down you walls.
......Wait, isn't that an ENFJ thing to do? No wonder they are so compatible. They are both not breathing, trying to figure each other out. Weirdos. If they don't tell you, then it's not your place to know. When they are ready to tell you, they would.
ESTP: Act sweet, wide-eyed and impressed by everything they do. Their ego will respond well to your fuel.
Sorry, I'm not that desperate and I'll never be that desperate.
ENTP: Challenge their logic and rebut their manipulative tactics.
Gladly, come here and fight me ENTP.
INTP: Take initiative. Take initiative again. Repeat until INTP notices your existence. Then take initiative again.
Tell me why I shouldn't just date my bed then. I think my bed is more responsive.
ESFP: Look good, make it clear that you're available and then just hand around for a while. Their natural "people curiosity" will eventually drive them to come after you.
And there, ladies and gentlemen, is why both ESFPs and ENFPs are rather multi-timing people.
ISTP: Infiltrate their social circle, see them regularly, match their level of nonchalance and then put sex on the table.
Sadly, I will only be willing to perform the second action of seeing them regularly.
ESTJ: Have excellent hygiene and constantly tell them they're right.
If you're wrong, you're wrong. I won't tell you you're right when I know you can take the opposition.
ISTJ: Be bubbly enough to warm their hearts but scattered enough to imply that you need their help.
And that type would be...? INFJ? Probably not but yeah.
ISFP: Be adventurous and playful and take an interest in them - then give them space to sort out their feelings and come to you.
Here, ESFP and ENFP, I found your perfect match!
ENFJ: Act like the stereotypical bad boy/bad girl but show glimpses of deep emotion - they'll clamour to figure you out and bring out the best in you.
Conversely, you could make them watch every other American drama because that's basically the storyline.
ISFJ: Act like a superhero, but one who needs to be taken care of. They'll jump at the chance to nurture your reckless spirit.
I thought that was ESFJ? But yes, that's probably a shared trait between the two of them.
INFJ: Be one big, walking paradox. Look them deep in the eyes and tell them that you "need them" to help figure yourself out.
Wait, you need my help to find yourself? Gimme a second, I'll pack my bag and everything and I'll be right with you. You know what, scratch that. I'm right with you NOW.
ESFJ: Be popular among your mutual peers but make it clear that you often forget to eat lunch or get enough sleep. They'll lust obsessively after the chance to be the one who takes care of you.
This is why you find yourself in deep shit. These people are trouble.
ENTJ: Assure them that a relationship with you is a low-risk investment that will yield a sizeable emotional return. Be strong in your character, but not stronger than them.
Bitch, do you think you are worth that much effort? Nope, so screw off.
INTJ: Present them with a completely unprecedented way of thinking about something they were previously decided on. You'll shake their foundation and win their admiration.
It's actually quite easy to do this...except that I don't really like INTJs in general. You would think Ni-dom buddies and all, but no.
8. Honest Opinions of the Types (INFJ Edition)
1. ISTJ
I honestly love you people so much. You wouldn't think that INFJs and ISTJs would be that compatible but the ones I have met are not at all how they are portrayed in stereotypes. One of them is one of the nicest, warmest, empathetic and caring people I know in this world. I love your dedication to tasks, especially when that manifests as doing your duty to complete goals that benefit other people. You can actually be so weird and open and honest with me and I am so thankful for it. I feel like you guys stand out in this sort of solid way. Like your presence really sort of grounds me. Not in a rigid way, but because you're focused, determined and aware of rules and deadlines and structure I feel more at ease.
So I think my on-the-spot decision to classify that one friend as an ISTJ is actually correct. Awesome, my Ni coming into play I think.
2. ESTJ
I want to type gibberish from smashing my keyboard with frustration. I feel like we're sort of twins but from parallel universes. When we met, we're so friendly to one another, we're aware of social cues that others don't notice and we both try to include and lead people. We can open up to each other quickly and get on really well from the get-go. But, something always happens with me and you guys. After a while, I feel like we sort of don't really understand each other as much as I thought we did. Also, I know you're busy but seriously you're so bad at non-face-to-face communication. Just. Message. Me. Back. Straight. Away.
I don't know any ESTJs, but I know I'm annoyed by the last part. It isn't that I don't understand that you're busy, but I understand social cues well enough to know that there's a limit to how much I can pester someone before it's regarded as being clingy. So stop being an asshole and just reply RIGHT AWAY.
3. ISFJ
Perfect, motherly, kind-hearted but vicious, blunt and realistic. I will get to my one issue further down, but I first must succinctly describe just how wonderful you are. You get me, mostly. Which is more than I can say for the other types. You notice people and look out for the harmony of people. My best friend and I are so painfully aware of when someone is breaking the social rules or just being weird or negative and knowing that you're there to vent my frustration about how people behave is so comforting. You are the most loyal friends, you express you souls the same in person as virtually and it's a beautiful skill most people don't have. You get 90% of the things that I complain to you about and it makes me feel so much less alone. The only thing that annoys me about you guys is your dislike of conflict. It's not all the time, and to varying degrees, but sometimes when someone is being a dick to you, I wish you could lash out at them and stick up yourself because you are too good to be trampled on when all you do is care and suffer for others. You are surprisingly analytical and intuitive and I want to crush you with hugs because we get each other.
And I can vouch for this. You would think ISFJs are not intuitive because they are S types, but the one ISFJ I know, who is very close to me, is surprisingly intuitive for an S type. I can get a lot of things by the detection radar of S types, but ISFJs are slightly better than the rest.
4. ESFJ
I'm sort of just warmly indifferent. I love we can clean things together because I don't think the other types understand how calming it is. You can be nice and there for me, but there's really nothing else there. I want to understand you and appreciate your kindness for other people but often you come off as shallow and fake, but I know that's not really you and I just feel sort of alien with you. I don't think you realise, as ironic as it is for your type, how uncomfortable I am sometimes. Maybe that's because the thins you usually accommodate and apologise for are more physically obvious and like "normal". Feeling out of place and lonely and all the other things INFJs feel isn't something you're used to dealing with probably and I don't think you can sense it.
The advantage I have, I suppose, is that my ESFJ friend actually opened up to me deeply enough that I can very very easily see beyond what INFJs see as "fake" in the ExFJs. Because I know the kind of things you've been through and how affected you are, I understand the sincerity of your gestures, which is shocking because technically and theoretically, INFJs should be more understanding of ENFJs than ESFJs, because by function resonance, we don't really have that much resonance with ESFJs (there's the Fe-dom with Fe-aux + Ti-inf x Ti-ter and that's all) compared to perfect resonance with ENFJs (on every function basically, since dom-aux and ter-inf are reversed).
5. ISTP
I feel like many people hate you and you hate many people. But I appreciate your quietness and resourcefulness and doing what you want. You have a dark and rebellious energy that is attractive to me, but also quite intimidating. I don't know if you're nicer on the inside but probably not. I really don't know what you want out of life and that makes making conversation with you difficult. I sort of just observe you but I know I could never really get what your purpose is or what your life is like inside your head.
Again, I have advantage because my mom is an ISTP. Yes, my mom is the kind who has a lot of friends on the outside (especially for an ISTP), because of her naturally playful nature. It's a little sad that she cannot understand a lot of deep emotions and the kind of sentiments I possess. My dream of improving the world to her is ridiculous, naive and unrealistic. Whenever she insults someone behind their back and I tell her off for it, I'm seen as no-fun and too rigid. It's a difficult relationship, to be sure, especially since she just wants to experience and have fun in life. Quite hedonistic, I believe.
6. ESTP
Chill. Like I know inside for sure you're actually like a stoic intellectual for your few technical interests but outside you have the loudest energy. Also, I'm not going to pretend that all the shallow, pointless things you do like constantly getting drunk and accidentally hurting yourself don't make me die inside. You're so awkward too? Like how is that for popular fuckboy extroverts? Like you're that attractive guy that is always at parties and is popular, but you're not a complete meat-headed jock all the time, like I don't hear you speak of your own accord that much surprisingly. I feel like if I met one of you who was a bit more aware of people's feelings I could be friends with you, but for now, I'll just cringe at the awkward and stupid things you do to have fun.
I don't know this type, but I can agree to the fact that I don't think I'll like them that much.
7. ISFP
I want to love you and shelter you from the world, but there's something not quite right about your energy. Like inside, you're hiding a really evil plot of mass murder or something and it unnerves me. Overall though, I think you are innocent but extremely easily influenced by others and you can play the victim very well and make me feel guilty as hell. Keep on dancing with fairies and being a smiley weird cutie.
That's exactly how I feel about ISFPs too. I have the impression of a cute little bunny that is soft and fragile, but also those kinds from horror films with blood-shot eyes and are actually demon-possessed. Call it paranoia or INFJ intuition...it's just unnerving.
8. ESFP
For real, I know know if you were isolated from other people, other than going insane, you wouldn't be fake or bitchy. I can pick up the internal nerdy things you think about that others don't catch and I don't know why you don't talk about them. Is pleasing people and having shallow relationships that fun? I'm probably jealous because I could never get high and make out with 15 people and crowd surf at a concert; be thankful you can have fun without a care in the world.
I agree, completely. I know ESFPs are supposed to be the most unthinking type who are hedonistic, careless and all those things INFJs don't stand for. But like I've said, no one in the world is shallow, it's just how much of their depth they 1. can accept and 2. are willing to show. Some people aren't even aware of the depth of their own thoughts and sacrifice that for shallow relationships...I cannot sympathise.
9. INTP
You actually get my deep inner world and my constant analysis of everything. You can sit quietly with me and talk about other people and I literally fly away from the world. I can only feel your energy and it's insane and I love it. But then you have to ruin it with your weird extremist political views and annoying intonation patterns. I know you don't know how aggressive you come off about your opinions and it makes me so tense. Also, pretty rich coming from self-righteous martyrs like us, but you are able to admit when you're wrong and change you mind, you know! One day, I will probably end up with one of you, but hopefully one with affection for humanity, morality and maturity.
I do wish I don't. My dad is an INTP and I cannot understand his completely distancing from humanity. It's not even in the Joe Keller sense of being short-sighted and unaware. My dad understands and recognises the impacts each action has on humanity at large, but he doesn't care. Love is reduced to a chemical compound that ensures survival and selfishness is wisdom for survival. I know guys usually like girls who are like their mothers and girls like guys who are like their fathers, but as long as my consciousness and wisdom remains intact, I would be a fool to end up with an INTP.
10. ENTP
For the longest time, I didn't understand why people always cite the ENTP-INFJ power couple thing. You come off as absent-minded, annoyingly forgetful and thoughtless rude assholes. But I know when you're in a good mood, we can have abstract conversations until the sun comes down and we can have the same sense of humour and really laugh about other people. If you've got a developed Fe, I'm quite happy to talk to you, but if you're a less mature ENTP and you think turning everything into an argument and being a dick is funny, please just know you sometimes deeply hurt my feelings and I want to kick you in the face.
I don't know, but I think since I'm in the school I am in, I either have to deal with the less-mature ENTP or the less-mature ESFP. Why? Because the ones who are smart cannot seem to understand that I'm NOT trying to start a debate and I don't want to argue with you. They end up making a situation in which I wanted comfort to one where I'm just scolding myself for thinking that a guy can even help with stuff. Then there's the jock group, who are rather nice and indulgent towards their female friends, but are so retarded and unaware of their own thoughts that it annoys me to no end. If only I swung the other way, life would really be a much easier thing to deal with.
11. INTJ
I don't know if you're all dark murderous villains or putting it on to seem mysterious but I see past it quite quickly. I know deep down how much you care about me and about changing things and justice. It makes me like you less when you act all superior and evil and I don't know why you do it. I think you're extremely hard-working and creative in ways people cannot appreciate or understand. I love how your mind works too.
Thank you for confirming my beliefs, fellow INFJ. I know for sure that the many INTJs I know aren't all cold-hearted and under that nonchalant and uncaring exterior, they possess a love for their friends that is almost comparable to the F types. There is something about those moments where they show their care that really throws me off, because it's so uncharacteristic of that mask that they wear. So whenever I get angry over their insensitivities, it always worries me, because I suspect, with good reason, that I may have perhaps hurt their feelings too and they are just too upset to apologise first.
12. ENTJ
Please stop talking about yourself at some point. I really want to like you, sometimes we have little moments of pity and being fed up with other people's incompetence and stupidity, but other times you are oblivious and I can sense your ruthless power-hunger. I feel like we could either be friends leading people, or scrape out each other's eyes in a bid for the throne. I do appreciate your connections and the effort you put into projects.
I wasn't wrong. INFJs cannot get along with ENTJs. It's not like we are polar opposites but we get along worse than INFJs get along with ESFPs or the more theoretically incompatible types. I guess we just fit at the wrong places so that our uneven parts scrape together roughly. You are too harsh, we are too soft. You are too dominating, we are too submissive.
13. INFP
You are so inconsistent, in every sense! Not only do you not follow your own values when it applies to other people, but you look like you're about to break something when you're probably really happy inside. I want to love you and I love the intensity of the emotions you feel, but you seriously need to work on the expression of such emotions outwardly. Do you not see the harm you are inflicting on others?
Wow, so I was absolutely right. The kind of sadness and melancholy I saw within that one INFP was enough to make me want to care, but he chooses to express it in such a way that harms those around him. The kind of affection and infatuation he had as well, but how does it translate into actions so terribly? You promise never to hurt her and that's what you did at every turn. Would you please hold on tighter to those values and mean what you say?
14. ENFP
I love you, I really do, but you're not the most reliable friends. You're so nice and energetic and you give me really warm vibes and we get along so well as soon as we meet each other and you get my sense of humour and my annoyances about other people. You appreciate when I help you and it feels my soul, but ignoring my advice makes me feel like you don't really listen. You are known to give the most authentic and accurate compliments that make me feel so good about myself and I just love your presence.
Hello? I would like to take an order of a normal ENFP guy please. This seems like a very good idea for an INFJ, but sadly, I don't know a lot of ENFP guys and those I know are not even stereotypical ones. As far as I'm aware, all the ENFP girls I know are very much ENFP and they bring me a lot of joy. They are understanding and caring, in the way only a fellow NF and be to an NF, but unlike INFP, they aren't inconsistently unreliable and unlike ENFJ, they seem to be able to lift my mood like no one else. It's miraculous even.
15. INFJ
I will write this myself. I love my own type, almost to a fault and the one INFJ I know personally, who is a guy, is like a miracle. How can a person, after talking to me 5 times, show that much care and concern despite the very very very concealed conversations we had. I revealed next to nothing and somehow it clicked within his mind every single sensitivities I had. It's relieving to know that I never had to say anything out loud and he doesn't pry. Ok, it's not that he doesn't pry, he just does it our INFJ way. ENFJ prying is to ask verbally while INFJ prying is just observation and deep analysis. It is, in some ways, more intrusive, but it does feel less intrusive. It was liberating to know that I'm not crazy and that someone, without me explaining in detail, can understand every single one of my views and agree with them. Sadly, as INFJs come, they are so very rare and also, when you have two people of the same type together, it becomes overwhelming at one point. Strangely enough, there is nothing beyond platonic feelings, probably because an INFJ and INFJ relationship is too much of a brotherly feeling.
16. ENFJ
You think you're so perfect...and you are, and I'm so envious of it. You can be really fake, but I know you are genuinely extremely kind and beautiful and even though you're popular, we both see through each other's masks and our connection is deep and strong. The moments I've shared with you have filled me up with bliss and our intuitive mind-reading abilities in conversation and shared opinions are magical. You make me feel whole and loved and understood, but I do get jealous of how many friends you have, it makes me feel less significant to you, but I know that's how you are and it doesn't change our individual relationship.
If I have to state it theoretically, it's basically a more connected ESFJ-INFJ relationship with a lot more understanding for each other's actions. The first part is true, I intuitively sense that the connection is deeper and more concrete despite the relatively shorter period of interactions. However, I think because the ESFJ I'm referring to has revealed to me and trusted in me so deeply that it's easy to say that I'm more convinced of her sincerity than the ENFJ's sincerity. I am also acutely aware that the ESFJ has no where near as much manipulative potential as the ENFJ and my relationship with the ESFJ is sustained by very concrete and frequent confirmations. But yes, it is always a beautiful moment when someone comes much closer, though still not close enough, to understanding me.
