Random Nonsense #8: Ranting, Top Mario Galaxy 1/2 Songs, MBTI

I have no idea why I never ever get aggressive towards my cousin despite all the shit that she does. I'll probably make for an exceedingly indulgent parent whose aggression is only shown through passive-aggressiveness. It doesn't help that my cousin is also extremely unintuitive and does not understand the meaning of personal space. She's extremely clingy, physically I mean, and would not stop with her physical affections. Being way too indulgent, I often just glare at her and opt not to move away in fear of hurting her feelings. It's not boding too well for my mental state.

Her presence makes weekends a pain. I cannot sleep early because she's in that stage of her life where she still thinks that sleeping late makes her cool. I got out of that stage by the age of 14 and she's 16 now. She thinks I'm being old...well, I am old. If I have nothing to do and I can sleep, I will sleep. I don't see the point of staying up till 1am or 2am every night because it's "cool". I don't it's cool when I feel like shit the next day and start snapping at everything that moves. Honestly, they say on Tumblr that INFJs never get angry and an angry INFJ is probably just sleepy. That's absolutely right. I do get into a horrendously bad mood when I'm tired.

My mom has told me to tell my cousin off, but I do feel bad about it. It is, for the weekends at least, her room as well and I could always just reach over for my earphones to drown out her videos and her laughing. I know it's 3am (or 4am, I'm not even sure anymore) and she's supposed to be asleep, but I do not have the right to tell her to, in my opinion at least. Since I can drown out her voice, I should just do so. I should only tell her off if there is no way for me to drown her voice out, which would then make her actions an infringement upon my rights. So as long as I can do something about it, I think there's no reason for me to tell her off. My mom obviously thinks otherwise, since she's that kind of person to act like the whole world owes her a favour, but I honestly cannot take on such a personality, especially in a sleepy state. I'll bend over backwards to avoid conflicts, as long as I can bend over backwards.

And then there's the issue of her using my study table that I also tolerate. My mom rolled her eyes at me, but my dad's worse. I actually got scolded for letting my cousin get her way. Well, she does need to do homework too and I'm fine doing work in the living room. I'm not going to wait for someone else to take the initiative to do something nice and since it's just 2 days, I don't really mind exiling myself from my own room. My mom just thinks I'm being too nice for no reason and my dad thinks I'm pathetic. Obviously he wouldn't understand...in every argument we ever had, I'm always the one to take a step back because I realise that he never would and even if I'm still convinced that I'm right, there is no reason to escalate the tension any further just for the sake of proving him wrong. Firstly, my dad will never give in to an alternate point-of-view if he is convinced of his own and secondly, I have much better things to do than argue with an immovable wall all night. It has gotten to the point that in every discussion I have with my dad, I never fully express my viewpoint because I know he despises it. We legitimately cannot see eye-to-eye on everything.

There are other people who tell me that we can't see eye-to-eye on issues, but they probably never seen my dad and I argue. Even from the simplest things like - if someone accidentally knocks into you, will you apologise? My dad's opinion is a straight-up "no" because "it's not my fault and you were the one who inconvenienced me". My opinion is that I should say "yes" either way. because no matter how I see it, I should. If they knocked into me accidentally, then they didn't mean it, so I should apologise too. If they meant to knock into me, then he/she must be having a bad day and I should take the initiative to be nice. My dad called me weak and pathetic again...well, if being strong means I'm going to be insensitive as hell, then I'll rather be weak.

Then there's the long-lasting argument about the value of friendship and love. In my dad's mind, friendships are built for you to...make use of those friends as stepping stones in life. Love is, in his words, just chemical reactions meant to ensure the survival of the species. Parental love is nothing more than an animal instinct to ensure that their offspring survives to pass on their genes. The look of disgust on my face when I heard all those...I think I sort of deserved those slaps I got because it's probably very rude to look at one's own father with such a disapproving glare.

Humans are so much more than that, and even animals, even animals are more than that. Wolves nurture their young to ensure the survival of their genes. Yes, that is right. But why does the rest of the pack also participate in bringing up the new pups. The Beta of each pack, despite being unrelated to the pups, becomes their caretaker. The Alpha male, the father, teaches his pups how to hunt. The rest of the pack protects the new pups and even the Omega participates. Maybe it's still just a mechanic for species survival, but look beyond that and the difference between how species develop such behaviours is what defines love, I think.

Love among a pack of wolves come in the form of how wolves are unique in pack dynamics. The Omega submits entirely to the Alpha and the rest of the pack, getting the last pick when eating. However, they also have the least responsibility and is protected by every member ranking above them. The Alpha has uncontested power over the pack, but with that comes the great responsibility of protecting and ruling over the pack as a kind leader who takes care of his underlings. That, to me, is a way wolves show love towards one another. Also, if you want to talk about love in the exclusive sense, then wolves demonstrate it too. I don't think many know this but wolves pick a mate for life. Upon the death of their mates, wolves rarely take a new mate and spend the rest of their lives mourning. And humans often mock animals for their lack of "complicated emotions". In the human world, how many marriages actually last for life?

But I can't say any of these to my dad, because if I'm wrong - I'm wrong with no valid argument. So, why do I even bother? Probably because I cannot settle for any injustice in this world, especially when the injustice is done in degrading the value of humanity? My dad is so biased that he can believe that all religious people are bad. And my face is just like "...that makes no sense, dad". I know that's the way he was brought up, but do you not question such things? How can you generalise people like that...and also, I'm the kind of person to believe that there is no such thing as a bad person, just like Kishou Arima says in Tokyo Ghoul:

Even Paarthurnax in Skyrim phrases Good and Evil more as a matter of choice. Of course, because of the nature of the creatures in Skyrim, there are those born innately Good/Evil, but Paarthurnax still phrases the end result of being Good/Evil as a choice.

Okay, moving on to other topics:

Top Mario Galaxy 1/2 Songs
Although I may like 3D World a lot more in terms of gameplay (because of the cat suit), I think that Mario Galaxy has the best music in the entire series...probably because they have a lot of good additions and good remixes. Here are 10 of the most notable soundtracks, in my opinion.

1. Bowser's Galaxy Generator - Galaxy 2

2. Bowser Jr. (Fast) - Galaxy 1

3. Gusty Gardens Galaxy - Galaxy 1

4. King Kaliente (Fast) - Galaxy 1

5. Toy Time Galaxy - Galaxy 1 (Super Mario Bros. Remix)

6. Buoy Base Galaxy (Underwater) - Galaxy 1

7. Cosmic Cove Galaxy - Galaxy 2

8. Fluffy Bluff Galaxy - Galaxy 2

9. Throwback Galaxy (N64 Remade Stage) - Galaxy 2 (N64 Remix)

10. Starshine Beach Galaxy - Galaxy 2

MBTI Stuff YAY
1. MBTI Travelling
ENFJ: Buys lots of guidebooks. Someone who trusts others' advice and goes to exactly what the guidebook tells them in the best.
Ehhhh...isn't that boring though. I mean you should check out the recommended places, yeah, but you should also go walk around or something...just don't get lost.

ENFP: Gets lost in a crowd. Someone who would inevitably drag one pal and run off towards something "cool" they saw, only to get both them and their friend lost.
Could get frustrating after a while, but I usually keep in mind the places I've walked past anyway. Okay, I'll go on a trip with ENFP.

ENTJ: Needs to be in control. Someone who tries to manage everything that's going on and gives vendors who pull you over dirty looks.
You can take your F cousin and go plan your trip together then. I want no part in this restrictive and convoluted travel.

ENTP: The fun one who provides an air of spontaneity. Someone who would suddenly decide ot change an activity or run through the streets.
These are the people who will make a vacation feel like a vacation. The lack of scheduling, the spontaneity, they may become a bit overbearing and scary, but still, a nice change of pace. Right now my vacation crew has ENFP and ENTP.

ESFJ: Checks that everyone is happy. The typical mom of the group who over packs just in case one or two or ten of their friends needs a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc
May become a little too naggy but useful to keep around in case those scatter-brained P types end up forgetting their things. But I don't know if I want to bring these people along on the actual travelling around because they might become quite annoying.

ESFP: Gets distracted by small vendor shops. Someone who has to look at everything and enjoys doing things and being there 24/7.
While the spontaneity of ENTP and ENFP may be tolerable since they can probably sense it when I'm annoyed, ESFP may just drive me crazy. I still would like to keep to a schedule, though probably much less restrictive than ENTJ's frigging business-like schedule.

ESTJ: Has all the maps and herds everyone in the right direction. Someone who micromanages things, but ultimately gets everyone where they need to be.
Oh man, fuck off and join the ENTJ and ENFJ. You can micromanage where they will be every second of the day though I reckon that ESTJ and ENTJ will be fighting for control over the schedule.

ESTP: Doesn't mind physical activity. Someone who would find a hiking trail or physical activity to do a trip.
Ah, I don't mind bringing these people along. They would probably make a day at the beach a whole lot of fun and be a source of motivation for hiking trips.

INFJ: Needs constant breaks. Someone who would bring along a book for some peace and quiet after a long, hectic day.
That's actually very true. As much as I enjoy spontaneity in the day activities, at night, back in the hotel, you'd better stay away from me. I'm recharging my introvert batteries and I dislike it when people disrupt me when I'm reading something.

INFP: Would want to stop at cute cafes hidden in alleyways. Someone who would find "hidden gems" in a city and stay in a hostel.
I still enjoy my fancy hotels, so INFP will have to give way for that. I don't mind being dragged to secluded and weird places that most people don't notice though. They often make for nice little distractions from the noisier tourist sites.

INTJ: Thoroughly researches the city just in case some sort of natural disaster happens. Someone who can take over if the ESTJ/ISTJ gets confused and will emerge unscathed.
So basically people who are very organised but won't force their organisation and schedule on the others unless they have to? Yes please, you are invited.

INTP: Use the experiences to broaden their mind. Someone who would be interested by the different types of technology in a foreign country.
They would be the type to bring you sight-seeing across the cities and honestly...I don't mind it. Though I don't like it either.

ISFJ: Caught up buying souvenirs. Someone who buys souvenirs for all their friends because "This one reminded me of you!"
No wonder INFJs and ISFJs get along. I like doing such things too! I often make it a point to buy one present for every one of my close friends...not from a single souvenir shop but across a variety of them.

ISFP: Reads all about food. Someone who would choose the food and take the photos of every dish before eating.
Get out. I hate it when people take pictures when eating. No questions asked. Get lost.

ISTJ: Similar to the ESTJ. Makes sure everyone is where they need to be. The Dad of the friend group, ready to tackle any problems the group faces and problem solve.
Then your existence is void. I do like to have a Mom in the group, but I can Dad the group myself. Not to mention that I'm probably more flexible, tolerant and everything, so we don't need an ISTJ. Thank you very much.

ISTP: Wouldn't mind travelling alone. Someone who would branch off from the group to do exploration by themselves.
I really don't mind if they disappear them. It's like keeping a cat - they leave when they want but they'll come back in the end.

2. MBTI As Scents
ENFP: Citrus - bright/exciting, sharp/quick
I like citrus scents! I haven't met many people who don't like them, but I've met many who love citrus. Even those who claim they don't like it usually end up liking it if you don't tell them what the scent is first.

ENFJ: Warm towels - warm, unoffensive, handy, everyone likes
Once again, everyone likes but no one loves. Seriously, is anyone's favourite scent "warm towels"? That's bizarre as heck.

INFJ: Tea - warmth, soft/nice, gets more intense as it steeps
Yes so I like my own type's fragrance, that's nice. It is a scent that intensifies in effect as time goes on and the effect you find in drinking it can be obtained through smelling it too e.g. soothing.

INFP: Cinnamon - lots of small, sharp smell, warm
I like cinnamon buns...but they can get a little too sweet. Those cinnamon-scented pencils, for example, are great at first sniff, but can become quite overwhelming in a short amount of time.

INTJ: Pineapple
That's just weird...but it's almost citrus-like with a tinge of sourness. So I guess I'll like it?

INTP: Old books
Is it weird that I think books just generally smell really nice? I don't even read fiction that much anymore but I still like the smell of the books. Weird. I'm weird.

ENTJ: Pine
The opposite of citrus scents. In Cosmetic Chemistry, I've learnt that citrus often appeals to the childish side of people while pine and other woody scents are for mature people. That is why I dislike pine but I love citrus.

ENTP: Coconut
Don't like coconut. Looks weird. Smells weird. Tastes weird. Just generally very weird. An acquired taste/smell apparently.

ISFJ: Vanilla - warm, traditional, well-loved, everyone's favourite
Ah yes, that was the scent I associated with my ISFJ friend in the first place. It's a very sweet yet warming scent, somehow bringing out a protective spirit in me (like I'm a guy or something). It's not that she actually has that scent around her, it's just what I associate with her.

ESFP: Chocolate - feel great in the moment, not so much in the long run
No, you're wrong. I don't ever mind the smell of chocolate. It's amazingly aromatic and fragrant. Dark chocolate more than milk or white, because the smell of cocoa is stronger.

ISFP: Baking bread - home and warm feelings
I love the smell of bakeries! There's always something so endearing about the scent of freshly-made bread and the image of a traditional baker.

ESFJ: Gingerbread - warm, holiday treat, traditional
Gingerbread...I'm partial to gingerbread. It does smell amazing but the taste itself isn't all that great.

ISTJ: Freshly-mown grass
I can't believe this type got such an awesome smell. Natural smells like grass, rain, etc are my favourite scents and tea happen to be on that list because it's one of the only manufactured goods so closely linked to nature.

ESTP: Bonfire smoke
I'm sorry. I cannot take smoke, no matter the source. I seem to be overly sensitive too it, not allergic, just sensitive. It makes my nose itch unbearably and even makes me want to throw up. It's a weird reaction I have towards smoke...

ISTP: Leather
Usually something that people like, but to me, it's a little too artificial and formal.

ESTJ: Fresh ink
Why? Why would you like the smell of ink? I guess liking ink as an object is fine, but the smell?

3. Most to Least Possessive
1. ENTJ
2. ESTJ
3. INTJ
4. INFP
5. ISTJ
6. ISFP
7. ENFP
8. ESFJ
9. ENFJ
10. ISFJ
11. INFJ
12. ESFP
13. ENTP
14. INTP
15. ESTP
16. ISTP

I was going to be surprised, but then I realised who are those that topped the list - ENTJ and INTJ. The theory I now have is that, the more you blame problems in your relationship on yourself, the lower on the list you are. The reason why INFJs are so low on the list isn't because we don't get jealous or aren't committed enough - it's probably because we see every mistake as "our fault". Really, I think I would be the type that when I get cheated on, I wouldn't even get angry at the guy. It's probably something I did, what I didn't do enough, that has caused him to cheat. So I wouldn't get possessive...I'll just get clinically depressed. Meanwhile, ENTJs and INTJs are likely to blame everything on their partner while INFPs are just Yandere-central.

4. The INFJ and Casual Conversations/Small Talk
Most Introverts are against having small talks, especially since they have to interact with others for no apparent reason. For INTJs and INFJs, this is particularly true, because while both types are very enthusiastic in holding intellectual or meaningful conversations, small talk can drive these types from liking you to hating you in seconds. These types speak for reasons, INTJs for knowledge, discover, wisdom and INFJs for counsel, comfort and warmth. So when asked trivial questions, both types are likely to not reply, believing that there is little reason in offering a response.

For this post, we are targeting INFJs in particular. INFJs, unlike other NF types, are innately aware of social responsibilities and social cues. Because of that, they have a very fixed and accurate impression on the type of responses appropriate for different conversations. For every trivial, common question asked, they have a response prepared. However, because they remain to be Introverts, small talks annoy them very quickly, driving them to the point of disliking interaction with the person initiating such conversations.

INFJs are the most extroverted of Introverts, because of their secondary function, Fe, which makes them acutely aware of the emotions of people around them. While Te, an extroverted function, works by allowing the user to express their thoughts openly, Fe works by absorbing information instead. INFJs thrive on their Fe and Ni combination, much like the ENFJ, but their natural introversion creates a natural dislike for conversations that cannot awaken their Fe. If the conversation is deemed as pointless, shallow or just unnecessary, the INFJ can become the ultimate introvert - replying with short, clipped answers or not replying verbally at all, throwing a glare instead. On the other hand, a meaningful conversation, stereotypically one that calls for the INFJ's counsel, turns them into an extrovert - talkative, warm and exceedingly attentive - thus the confusion with ENFJs.

The combination of adherence to social cues and the dislike of casual conversations does not bode well for INFJs or their friends. When offended by a question deemed to be pointless, INFJs are usually very unlikely to respond negatively. They will often stick to social cues and respond accordingly, meanwhile making the decision to avoid all interactions with the person again. Of course, persistency can act in 2 ways. The INFJ can either go into a withdrawal almost magical, with them vanishing the moment you try to appraoch them. Or, INFJs will tell you outright that you are annoying them.

INFJs are walking contradictions. They will not want to hurt your feelings by telling you off, but frankness is still one of their values. When pushed to the limit, they will snap and turn on you faster than any other type with cold, biting sarcasm found in their T cousins, the INTJ. "Did you think I was going to respond any other way?" "Don't bother asking me that." Anything that may make the INFJ seem more like an INTJ. Of course, their responses are still laced with underlying emotions.

Avoid small talk with INFJs, but INFJs are aware that small talk is sometimes necessary. We can't all go into speaking about our deepest and darkest secrets on the first meeting. But all INFJs have a limit, for everyone in their lives. At one point, the INFJ will expect you to reveal something, by which time if you don't, they will "give you what you deserve" - coldness with coldness. Even if you are not being cold, the act of not revealing something deeper is a violation of a social cue and thus, the punishment exacted is what the INFJ deems to be an equal withdrawal from the relationship.

While INFJs may not be the most compatible with S types, SF types may be an exception precisely of their strict views on social cues. SFs, while not being attuned to the INFJ, abide by the same social cues that allow INFJs to be more receptive towards their short-comings. INFJs may also clash with INFPs and ENFJs, because of the two types' common ignorance towards social cues that may make INFJs very cautious of them. ENFPs fare better because even if the INFJ isn't a believer of the MBTI, they intuitive sense that ENFPs are genuinely and sincerely scatter-brained and unique people who cannot be forced into following social cues.

5. Stereotype NF Pairings and their Differences
The common NF pairings, ENFJ x INFP and ENFP x INFJ may seem very similar in an American drama setting, but still possess very distinct differences. One of the most basic differences is that in the ENFJ x INFP pairing, the INFP is almost always the socially-withdrawn boy while the ENFJ girl is some popular but nice girl. In the ENFP x INFJ pairing, however, the pairing works for genders in American drama.

ENFJ x INFP pairings are often very idealistic, yet 1-dimensional. The quiet and withdrawn boy at the corner of the class who is musically and artistically talented but too shy to be noticed. The ENFJ girl who is either his childhood friend or one of his only friends for some other reason. The story is very typical, with the extrovert trying to open up the introvert. The 1-dimensional nature comes in because the growth of the characters is often 1-way, with the INFP learning to open up and gaining more friends, growing his life, while the ENFJ's benefits are limited...often something like...gaining peace in her life?

ENFP and INFJ pairings are usually more dynamic and is also common in Japanese Animations, or Anime. In the case of an ENFP boy and INFJ girl, the girl is almost like an INFP, withdrawn, quiet, shy, and talented. However, unlike the INFP, she also has scenes where she becomes quite authoritative or shows off her ability to be more than just a shy girl. She is also, in the eyes of the ENFP, a strong and intelligent girl, whose potential is unseen the eyes of others. The ENFP boy is a popular guy who is also the class clown. In a class project or some other group event, he finds himself in the company of the INFJ and through the project, learns that she is much more than just a shy girl. This overcomes the problem of a 1-dimensional character, as in the INFP, who is usually just shy. The INFJ stereotype allows for a multi-layered character which the ENFP boy has to uncover. The ENFP boy is also more of a multi-dimensional character because ENFJs are often portrayed as "perfect" characters, with no flaws needing fixing. On the other hand, ENFPs may not be as attuned to their ability to care for a single person, which the INFJ brings them to realise. In the ENFP and INFJ interaction, it is common for the ENFP to try to teach INFJ to open up but end up with the INFJ teaching the ENFP something more about themselves.

Still, these are stereotypes. ENFJs are anything but perfect, with flaws that INFJs can fix as well, although often it's ENFPs that are getting the INFJs' counsel. INFPs are not just shy and withdrawn, 1-dimensional and boring characters. INFJs are also not as mystical as most shows make them out to be, and the process of uncovering their true selves is often unrealistic and unlikely to actually cause an INFJ in real-life to open up. ENFPs are not all scatter-brained, hyperactive individuals and that only applies to those that have not developed their tertiary and inferior functions adequately.

Outside of the drama perspective, the pairings may still work as they are portrayed. The INFP and INFJ's difference in "reflecting emotions" and "absorbing emotions" respectively is the same in ENFJs and ENFPs. ENFJ's walls are defined by their ability to reflect back people's emotions, so that they see what they want to see. ENFJs do not actually feel the pain from the other person, such is the quality of "reflection". ENFPs, like the INFJs, absorb emotions. Thus, they may often not seem like they understand you, because they aren't reflecting your emotions back, but they have absorbed every ounce of your emotions in themselves. Though as an INFJ, I show disdain towards the act of "reflecting" as the equivalent of lying or pretending to understand, it is actually debatable as to whether "reflecting" or "absorbing" is more empathetic.

More MBTI Stuff #4: Actually Interesting This Time

Before I start with anything related to MBTI, I just thought I should leave this video here. I know I have already expressed my intense obsession with Sakamaki Reiji, but I'm listening to this song objectively (or so I think), trying not to be biased. All the Sakamaki brothers have their own character songs, but I think the two that stand out the most for me are Kiss Mark by Sakamaki Shuu and this one - Toaru Yugensha no Unmei (A Certain Prophet's Fate) by Sakamaki Reiji. I think Reiji's character song is particularly attractive to me because Reiji's voice actor has a nice deep voice that is not unemotional.

Anyway, today's MBTI stuff will be taken from a Tumblr page called "Confessions of a Myers Briggs-aholic". The author is an INFJ and I must say, most consistent Tumblr pages are ran by J types, simply because P types do things based on impulse. Sometimes, I just don't feel like it.

Placing the blame on my P type personality, I'm unapologetic that this post will be a little messy, but I'll try my best with the headings. I'm reading the Tumblr page as I write this, so it's most likely not organised in any order whatsoever.

Also, as usual, most of these posts (or all of them) will include INFP. I know I've posted something about me being INTP, but like I've said, it's probably just the facade I wear because being an INFP is a very vulnerable state of mind. I am, in fact, very emotional and although it does make me rather annoyed at myself during those times when I'm supposed to keep my cool but I'm crying up a storm, I'm not going to deny my identity as an INFP. INFPs aren't all the same though. I am an INFP who is a little sadistic and quite cynical. Also I do believe I'm more self-aware than other INFPs I know.

1. INFP and ENFJ Relationship
"INFP X ENFJ
INFP: Fi Ne Si Te
ENFJ: Fe Ni Se Ti
With opposite functions in the same order, this couple processes the world very differently, although they may appear similar on the outside. Both are idealistic, future-oriented, and desire to improve the world around them. They both struggle with cold hard logic and facts, and prefer to deal with the emotional and abstract. Therefore the two may connect on similar interests and understand each other's motivating drive.
However, these types also have various difference. On the negative side, the INFP may see the ENFJ as fake, judgemental and too inflexible in their ways, while the ENFJ may see the INFP as selfish, private and unplanned. On the positive side, the INFP may admire the ENFJ's structure, natural diplomacy, and comfortableness with people, while the ENFJ may admire the INFP's spontaneity, conviction to their own beliefs, and calming introverted presence."

This is completely true, at least from the INFP point of view. I can't speak for the ENFJ, but for me, I agree with all the points brought up. For the ENFJ I have in my mind right now, I have known for a long time that we are both very idealistic people, although it seems, to me at least, that I happen to get hurt a lot more because of that idealism. After all, INFP has the highest suicide rates in school while ENFJ is the happiest. Well, contradiction can only happen when there's a common ground after all.

Also, I share some similar interests, although on others, I wholeheartedly disagree and would like to argue my way through it (i.e. "fight me in real life"). I do understand his views and the way he thinks, but there's a difference between understanding and accepting. Even if it makes sense to me, I usually don't find myself agreeing. My views, those deep and intrinsic ones, are often a direct contradiction and almost a mirror image of his views.

That said, I do admire his ability to be very diplomatic and charismatic, in the sense that he can keep the peace with a large group of people. But that doesn't mean that I don't think he is selfish (judgemental), hypocritical (fake) and too close-minded (inflexible). So yes, I do think this person did an excellent job presenting the dynamics between an INFP and ENFJ.
I think the most important takeaway from this is that while two people may have the most contradictory views about the world, in order for the contradictions to happen in the first place, there must be a common ground. I mean, you cannot compare two things when they are completely unrelated. Just like that picture up there. Black wolf and white wolf, these two usually symbolise very different things: black wolves symbolising the bestial, vicious and independent nature of a lonewolf, while white wolves symbolise pack strength, care for pack members and wisdom. They are contradictory, but they are both wolves (thus the common ground).

2. Most to Least Authentic
1. ESTJ
2. ENTP
3. INFP
4. ISTP
5. INTJ
6. INTP
7. ESTP
8. ISTJ
9. ISFP
10. INFP
11. INFJ
12. ISFJ
13. ESFP
14. ENTJ
15. ESFJ
16. ENFJ
Wow, look at that. I'm #3 on the list, probably because I'm bloody straightforward with giving opinions. I'm that kind of person who, if you ask me for an honest opinion, I'll give you an honest opinion, whether or not it will sting. Look at those pretentious assholes though...why am/was I friends with so many of them. And once again, ENFJ proves me right. They are very pretentious and hypocritical and fake. In fact, they are the least authentic MBTI. That says quite a lot since even those at the top can practise being fake once in a while. ENFJs must be really, really fake then.

3. MBTI as Brides
ISTJ: Are very concerned with the logistics of the wedding, making sure all of their family's flights are on time, flowers are ordered, etc.
ISFJ: Is very romantic about their wedding, wanting it to be traditional and classic, and are very concerned with making sure all of the details are right
INFJ: Spends a lot of time sitting by themselves and considering their visions of marriage and the underlying emotions of their wedding
INTJ: Finds most of the festivities to be superficial and unnecessary, getting mad at people who botch up the to-do's of the wedding
ISTP: Enjoys buying fine items and clothing, but dislikes the overt emotion and attention put on them throughout the wedding
ISFP: Is very concerned with the aesthetics of their wedding, making sure everything looks beautiful for their day
INFP: Has a very romantic and fanciful view of how they want the day to go, spending a lot of time considering their emotions in the situation
INTP: Dislikes the expectations, overt emotion, and attention of the wedding, letting others make choices for them as long as they are mainly left alone
ESTP: Enjoys the excitement, especially their bachelor/ette party and wanting to live in the moment and having lots of fun at their wedding/party/honeymoon as well
ESFP: Loves the attention of the few days, wanting to make sure they look beautiful and having everyone's eyes on them
ENFP: Want to have more unconventional wedding, worrying mainly about the concepts of fun, love, and family and not so much all the details involved
ENTP: Have fun talking to people and having attention, but dislike all the details of the festivities
ESTJ: Are very direct in making sure their wedding planner creates a very traditional, classic wedding and gets all the details right
ESFJ: Become a little bossy making sure everything is the way they have envisioned it, also spend a lot of time connecting with all of their guests
ENFJ: Spend a lot of time connecting with their guests, having a romantic vision of how they want the day to go
ENTJ: Takes over for the wedding planner, spending most of the day directing everyone on where they need to go

I must say, although I'm not a bride and will probably never be, because I don't want to be, this is quite accurate in the more general situation sense. "Has a very romantic and fanciful view of how they want the day to go" and this is immediately followed by "expectations are completely let down and goes into a period of depression". This basically happens every time something mildly exciting is going to happen - I have too idealistic a view of what's going to happen. I've learnt now, to not even have no expectations, I have to go in with negative expectations. If I go in with my flowery expectations, I'm just going to end up disappointed all over again. I thought I'm the only one, but apparently ENFJ is the same. Weird. I thought maybe ENFP, but I guess they are way too hyper and scatter-brained.

4. MBTI When They Like Someone (Romantic and Platonic)
ISTJ: Act very shy around the other person, but may also reminisce over shared memories and experiences
ISFJ: Constantly offer to help the other person with anything like chores or homework
INFJ: Keep their affections to themselves around the person, but mention them a lot to their friends
INTJ: They listen, debate and engage in intellectual conversations with the other person; if they find the other person interesting and listen to what they say
ISTP: Tease the other person with witty humour and jokes
ISFP: They feel comfortable sharing little snippets of their emotions or opinions with the other person
INFP: Get very embarrassed, flustered, and blush a lot around the person they like
INTP: Get overwhelmed with their feelings, trying to appear intellectual and figure out how to tease the other person without being mean or critical
ESTP: Act very over the top, pulling stunts, flirting very obviously, and doing anything to get the other person's attention
ESFP: Flirt classically, attracting a lot of attention to themselves and being extraordinarily charismatic and charming
ENFP: They become very nervous around the other person, being very friendly and charming but also flustered
ENTP: Tease the other person and debate with them, engaging them in conversations continuously
ESTJ: Worry about appearing respectful and traditional, while also attempting to tease and compliment the other person
ESFJ: Act even more friendly and perfect than usual to the other person, offering to help them out with things as well
ENFJ: Ask a bunch of questions to try to understand the other person's likes, dislikes, etc. and adjust their behaviour accordingly
ENTJ: Appear cool and collected the entire time they are with the other person, considering the best way to compliment and interact with the other person

This time, I think I should reply to each MBTI accordingly, because I have something to say for all of them.

ISTJ: These are apparently the most normal people you will meet. They are shy, which is expected, but they don't do any weird shit that may scare the other person off. Typical drama girl, I suppose.
ISFJ: Where can I find a specimen of this MBTI in the opposite gender? I would very much like someone to do my homework for me.
INFJ: They are the second most normal people, except their friends probably want to slap the shit out of them.
INTJ: So these people basically become even colder. I guess if a person likes these kind of people, it works, but personally, while I do like cool and composed anime guys, in real life, it's quite the opposite. INTJs are oddly composed and very weird, not even in the endearing way, but they make good conversation.
ISTP: This is the guy I want to meet at a bar. So, yes please.
ISFP: In other words, they start dumping their shit on you? I don't mind it, but I think some people may find that quite annoying.
INFP: ...No I don't do this...
         Or even this...
So, I don't know what you are talking about.
INTP: I think this is quite normal too, at least outwardly. These people are probably dying of inner turmoil though.
ESTP: Argh, these are the guys at the bar who don't know how to shut up and the more they talk, the more I deduct points from their assumed IQ. These are probably the guys in shows who are super good-looking and hot, but the moment they open their mouths, it's like "NOPE, SORRY". But, these people are insanely easy to ignore too.
ESFP: Depending on how they go about it, they can either be uber attractive or insanely annoying. I, for one, get wary of people who are charismatic, because they are probably hiding something. So most likely, 9 out of 10, I would dislike ESFPs.
ENFP: This is just the extroverted version of an INFP and frankly I must say, I love it, a lot. Sadly, I don't know any ENFP guys. Come on, the idea of a guy who is quite laid-back, hyperactive and scatterbrained that gets shy around the girl he likes. That's super adorable please!
It's like Tamaki Suoh, minus his ridiculous flaunting and with just his hyperactivity. Cute~
ENTP: So they basically intrude upon your life and do not understanding the meaning of "Shut up and go away".
ESTJ: These people can be very charming...but also insanely boring and typical.
ESFJ: One word, pretentious. Generally, the more a person extrapolates the positive parts of their personality and hides their negative parts, the more suspicious I am about their authenticity.
ENFJ: I don't even know, ok? If ENTPs are intruding upon your life by never-ending conversations, ENFJs are trying to take control of your life and dig you inside-out. ENFJs are basically the type that does not understand that people will tell them things when the time if right and they don't have to chase a person to the ends of the earth. Patience, please, and personal space.
ENTJ: Hmmm...probably quite boring, but still, attractive compared to the rest.

Basically, if I have to choose 3 favourites and 3 most hated just based on this:
Favourites: ENFP, ISTP, ISFJ
Most Hated: ENFJ, ENTP, ESFJ (basically anyone who invades your life)

5. How to Make Them Hate You
NTs: Something close-minded, ignorant and idiotic
NFs: Criticising them in an unnecessarily harsh and personal way
SPs: Trying to confine them/make them conform to some prescribed set of values
SJs: Something unnecessarily radical and disruptive to their current situation

Is that why I cannot take criticisms? My threshold for very personalised insults is extremely low. I can tolerate stupidity...because I'm bloody stupid myself. If someone tries to confine me, I'll just ignore it. Also, if someone radical happens, well, just adapt and let it happen.

6. MBTI as Teenage Guys
ISTJ: Quiet kid who does all of their homework on time and can have poor social skills
ISFJ: Is the "quiet friend" in his group of friends, always does his homework and is very sweet
INFJ: Very quiet kid who spends their time watching the other students and psychoanalysing them
INTJ: The arrogant brainiac who complains all the time about how idiotic the classes or other classmates are while solving math problems in the corner of the room
ISTP: Guy who is obsessed with his car and doing repairs on it, very independent
ISFP: Artsy student who's fairly quiet and sweet but also hits up all the parties every weekend and smokes a lot
INFP: Part of a bunch of activism and writing clubs, very committed with their causes
INTP: Quiet kid with a secret hilarious sense of humour and incredible intellect
ESTP: The star jock who is a bit of a douche; very cocky; arrogant; and probably dates a lot of different girls
ESFP: Really outgoing kid who goes to every party and is adores by all of the girls
ENFP: Kid who plans on living in a hut in Guatemala in their gap year before college; often forgets their shoes when coming to school
ENTP: Kid who spends each class arguing with the teacher
ESTJ: Kid who takes over every school project and makes sure all the other kids are following the rules at all times
ESFJ: Guy who knows everyone at the school, is loved by almost everyone, but can be a little judgemental at times
ENFJ: Wins most likely to save the planet; very well liked and popular but also good academically and very driven
ENTJ: President of the student council and a dozen other clubs; extremely popular but also fairly aloof and unemotional

This is weird, because I generally hate all the Extroverts in this case, but my favourite is an Extrovert - the clumsy scatterbrain with way too much refreshing energy.

ISTJ: Probably a nice person, but too quiet for me to take particular interest in.
ISFJ: "Very sweet" is the best selling point here. This implies that this guy can be quite clingy at times, but will always be kind and considerate. I can tolerate that, especially since the Extroverts are pieces of shit.
INFJ: I would love to befriend one, except that getting too close is probably dangerous.
INTJ: Corner of the room? Please stay there and don't come back, jackass.
ISTP: Weird kid, not in the good way.
ISFP: The first part was fine, until it got to the smoking.
INFP: What can I say? I love my own MBTI? No, but really, if the INFP happens to have the same beliefs, this ship is sailing awesome, but if our beliefs are incongruent, the ship doesn't exist.
INTP: My favourite out of the Introverts, really. A guy who is smart and witty, but doesn't flaunt it around like an idiot Extrovert.
ESTP: The typical kind of guy that I know how to avoid and thus, don't mind.
ESFP: I have a feeling I'll hate this guy just because he is popular, but because he is insanely sweet and all, I would probably like him anyway.
ENFP: Once again, my real life preference for clumsy guys who seem to have their brains screwed on the wrong way. Oh why do I not know an ENFP guy? They are probably hunting whales in the North Pole or something.
ENTP: Seriously, shut up. There's a lesson to finish and if you want to argue, leave it for after class. I dislike class, but I dislike your voice more.
ESTJ: Boring.
ESFJ: I would find this guy a jackass.
ENFJ: Because of his popularity, I'd probably hate the shit out of him. Still, because he's going to save the planet, I have some kind of respect, albeit kept to myself.
ENTJ: The king of boring.

Top 3: ENFP, INTP, ISFJ

Conclusion of the day? Well, I think I may like ENFPs, but I've never actually met one, at least not a male one. ENFPs are outgoing and sociable but very scatterbrained and clumsy. They usually radiate with bright energy and are typical Shounen main characters. For example, both Edward Elric from FMA and Uzumaki Naruto from Naruto are speculated to be mostly ENFP.
As much as I prefer the cooler and colder characters in Naruto, I think that in real life, I would like Naruto more. He seems like someone who will be very supportive, in terms of protecting someone physically or brightening up their day. As an ENFP, he may not be as intuitive or good at understanding emotions as an ENFJ, but compared to an ENFJ, an ENFP has a much brighter personality and it's that personality of theirs that make people like them, despite their weirdness. For me, that's what makes me think that while INFP is theoretically best matched with ENFJ, I want to know an ENFP instead.

More MBTI Stuff #1

Since I have so much MBTI stuff on my computer and I also spend so much of my day looking at them, I decided I might as well share it here. Come on, I'm avoiding work again. I'm supposed to finish up my Crimean War research by today and send my notes for printing, but I have plenty of time to do that in the afternoon. I have blocked myself from Youtube and all those gaming sites I used, so I don't have to worry about being tempted to procrastinate. This app I'm using is so effective that while the sites are still being blocked, I cannot unblock them.

So for every piece of information or picture I attach to each post, I'll talk about them a little. Some may be quite technical stuff and others are just rants. I'm inclined to not organise them as such, because I'm a P. I'm sure your brains are effective enough to filter without my hand-holding anyway.

MBTI Frequency
MBTI Frequency refers to the statistical analysis of MBTI within the population. However, because this is not a worldwide data analysis, here are some cautionary notes:
(1) It is known through research that different populations have differing trends. For example, it is widely accepted that Asian populations tend to have more Introverts while the Western populations have more Extroverts. Asians also tend to be more rational, because of their upbringing. These particular statistics are from the US.
(2) The year of which this data is published is unknown. It is as recent as I can find though.
(3) MBTI may change over the course of one's life and while it does not affect the accuracy of these statistics (statistics are not meant to cover individuals, but are general trends), slight inclinations are not put into consideration.
Slight Inclination - A concept that is often forgotten by people who study MBTI. One of the biggest problem with MBTI is the assumption of extreme inclination. MBTI results are shown in percentages, however, your final MBTI type is an extreme type. There are people whose function differences are merely 1% and in those cases, they are able to swing between 2 MBTIs quite easily.

Observations
From the data above, I decided to further compress the data, according to the 4 types. As much as statistics usually pains my brain, psychology is interesting and I'm after the observations and conclusions anyway.
It can be easily seen that there are a lot more S types in this world compared to N. It is something that upsets me quite a bit, because it means that most people are then unable to understand me when I try to explain things with gut instincts. However, this can also be a reflection of how humans have evolved much differently from other animals. N types are often seen as more primitive and primal, because gut instinct is what humans call "animal instinct". S is data-oriented and is a purely human construct. So, to exaggerate, Ns are animals and Ss are robots.

Also, it is interesting to observe that while males and females do not differ as much in the SP type, the other 3 types see quite a bit of divergence. Especially in the NT type (Intellectuals/Analysts), there are substantially more males than females. In fact, if you refer to the first table, you realise that across all 4 MBTIs that fall under the NT type, the divergence is constant.

Can I mention how I find it insulting that I'm only the 3rd most uncommon MBTI? INFJ and INTJ are less common than INFP. I find that absolutely insulting. Please, I am as unique as unique can get. I'm also tied for being the 4th most uncommon female MBTI with ENTJ, lagging behind INTJ, INTP and INFJ. Excuse me, you guys aren't that unique.

Compatibility Art
Compatibility is the category in which I go to Tumblr and look for MBTI photos signifying the compatibility between 2 types. Since I am an INFP, all the art I post will have INFP. I'm sorry.

1. INFP (male) and ENFJ (female) - Classic Drama Couple
This is one of your classic drama pairings. The extremely shy and introverted guy who is highly artistic and understanding, but seems depressed all the time. He is the kid that sits at the back of the class, silent and never speaking. He probably has some weird habits, probably artistic ones. Then a girl comes along, the exact opposite of him. She is probably the most notable girl in class and everyone knows she's there. She is liked by everyone in class, is confident and is basically the life of the party.

Now, anyone who doesn't understand MBTI would be like "See, opposites do attract!" Well, they would just be wrong. The girl is either an ENFJ or ENFP and any way you look at it, these are not the opposites of INFP. The fact is, if the girl is the exact opposite, ESTJ, she would have absolutely no interest in that poor little boy who would love nothing more than to be left alone to his own thoughts. The moment you see the girl ask the guy "You can open up to me", you know she is an NF. I know it myself because the painful reality is that unless the other person is an NF, they probably have no idea what I am thinking or feeling. That's why INFP is known as the type who nobody understands. We are highly emotional, yet unlike our Extroverted counterparts, we rarely express these emotions openly and so, people who aren't NFs usually don't understand what's going on with us unless we tell them.

Still, from the perspective of an INFP, I would find the approach of an ENFJ both endearing and very annoying. The first thought that occurs when an ENFJ tells you to "open up" is "Hey, someone understands me" and believe me when I tell you that, for an INFP, it is one of the greatest feeling in our lives to know that someone understands. Most of the time, we are passed off as weird people, who are unpredictable. Not true. You just need to understand the subtle cues. Then the INFP gets to know the ENFJ and suddenly, their Introversion kicks in and they go "Why am I telling this person so much? ...I don't know anything about them!" The moment that happens, they retract within themselves again.

Just think about that drama you watched. The INFP guy starts sharing a lot with the ENFJ girl and the whole class is surprised. They shouldn't be. INFP x ENFJ is widely regarded by the MBTI community as one of the best matches emotionally. Then one fine day, he suddenly detaches from her again and starts avoiding her like the plague. As an INFP, I can tell you, that that is the exact moment that he decides that he has been saying too much and not getting the same amount back. Introversion has that negative side effect, especially on INFPs. It gives us relief to be able to rid ourselves of our emotional burdens, but along with it comes the insecurity and the fear of betrayal, especially when we don't have as much as hold on the other person as they have on us. ENFJs are annoying to INFPs precisely because of that. They are able to fish out a lot of things from us and by the time we noticed it, we have said too much. Time to retreat.

Next time you watch a drama with a shy guy and a loud girl, just remember, they aren't actually polar opposites that attract. It's actually the idealism of MBTI compatibility coming into play. The most idealistic couple, in fact, maybe tied with INFJ and ENFP. But then again, it's not that fun with INFJ because they can be equally emotional, but their J type keeps them in check. A drama is meant to be dramatic, so INFPs are the best for that role. Also, ENFP is less effective than ENFJ because their P type makes them less in tune to emotions.

Classic drama couple: INFP (male) x ENFJ (female). It works the other way, but it doesn't look as fun in dramas.
INFP (female) x ENFJ (male)

INFP x INTJ Friendship
This is one of the funniest pairings out there, because out how ridiculously dysfunctional their relationship can be. INTJ is one of the least emotional types out there and despite them being N, they can often understand the theory behind emotions, but still think it's stupid.

Just look at the picture. The one on the right is the INFP sharing her extremely weird thoughts and feelings with the INTJ, who is listening, but totally doesn't get it. Meanwhile, the INFP is just happy that there's someone listening to her. I have many INTJ female friends and I can tell you that every time the situation like that one happens, they come back to me and are like "What do you want me to do about it? I have no idea what to do." I just blink at them, a little ticked off but also quite shocked at how their intuition is totally not working with their TJ at the back. That INTJ in the GIF is probably wondering what she will have for dinner.

I guess INTJs are still one of the best friends that INFPs can have. We INFPs dislike it when we are sharing our emotions and the person would not stop offering advice. I'm not asking for your advice. I'm not asking for you to tell me what to do. Just shut up and listen. Another NF would be a bad idea, because the INFP's extreme pessimistic nature may just rub off on them. INTJs are one of the only MBTIs that can take an INFPs rambling to the face and be completely immune to the waves of negativity flooding from them. I know for sure that when I ramble to some people, they end up in the same state of depression as I am in.

The T part in INTJ is wonderful for INFPs because the INTJ, at the end of the day, will give solid advice that is not emotionally driven. It is a great slap to the face for INFPs, because despite our knowledge that we are idealistic, we still like swimming in that sea of fantasy. Then INTJs come along and deliver a firm slap to the face, waking us up from that fantasy.

So how will that situation in the GIF end? The INFP is going to finish the conversation, look at INTJ expectantly, waiting for some advice. The INTJ will look completely unshaken but what she just heard and totally not get it that the INFP is waiting for advice. The INFP sighs "So, what should I do? Don't just stare at me." The INTJ then gives an advice that is nothing that INFP wanted to hear, but is so objective that the INFP cannot deny the validity of it. The INFP will be enraged for a few moments at the INTJ's inability to get how she is feeling, but end up taking the advice anyway. The INTJ will then go on ahead and forget that that conversation ever happened (I had this female friend who I had to repeat the same thing to about 10 times before she remembered it), while INFP will take that advice for life, but whether she actually succeeds in following it is another story.
